  • go to Lavender Town. Go into what used to be Pokemon Tower. Talk to the man that looks like a Gentleman. He'll give you the EXPN Card, or Expansion Card. Go back to snorlax, go to the radio in the pokegear, go to the center top star, it'll Play the PokeFlute, then talk to snorlax. You guys will battle. After catching/defeating/running away from Snorlax, he'll dissapear. You'll be able to go in DIGLETT'S Cave.

    Hope this helps

There's a little more to it than this...

First you have to make sure you've done the Power Plant side quest. Go to the Power Plant (find a map on Serebii or Bulbapedia if you're not sure where it is) and talk to the man on the generator. He'll tell you about a missing part. Then go to Cerulean again and enter the gym. A Rocket guy will be there and will run off. Follow him to Nugget Bridge and battle him. After the battle, he'll tell you he hid the part in the gym. Go back to the gym and check the rubber rings at the top left to find the part. Take it back to the Power Plant and talk to the man on the generator. Now the power is back in Kanto.

Now you can go to the Radio Tower in Lavender Town and recieve the EXPN Card for your Pokégear. The Pokéflute Channel is towards the top; it is a manual channel and can only be found by using the stylus to move the circle. Playing the Pokéflute Channel near the Snorlax awaken it and allow you access to Diglett's Tunnel, and by extension, Pewter City, Viridian City and Pallet Town.

A second thing that can be unlocked by doing this is the Magnet Pass side quest. At the Magnet Train Station, the guard will tell you that the power is back, but you don't have a pass. A woman near the Magnet Train Station in Saffron will mention that the Copycat has a spare pass. Talking to the Copycat will reveal that she has lost her PokéDoll and will give you a Pass in exchange for its return. You must go to Vermillion and enter the Pokémon Fan Club. Talking to the Sailor will give you the Doll. Upon exiting the Club, Steven Stone will arrive and inform you of the presence of your version's member of Lati@s. Now one of Latias or Latios is roaming Kanto. Take the Doll back to Copycat and get the pass.

    Quest: Power Plant
    Results:
    - EXPN Card
    - Access to West Kanto
    - Magnet Pass.

Yes, but you can't use the Pokéflute to get rid of the Snorlax to get to Pewter City without doing the Power Plant side quest first to get the power back on at the Radio Tower.

And the Magnet Train quest is just something else you can do as a result of getting the power back on.

  • the reason why i left that is because he/she said that they got the Cascade Badge. You can only get it if you complete the power plant sidequest

^ That is correct, you have to defeat Red before you can get the starters.

Red is the legendary trainer in Mt. Silver (the peak).

To reach Blue's gym, you must get the first 7 kanto badges. Once that's done go to Cinnabar Island and talk to Blue. He'll go ahead and go back to his gym in Viridian City.

His gym is kinda annoying lol

Blue (not Red - he's a different person) is waiting on Cinnabar Island for you to get the first 7 Kanto Badges. When you have done that, talk to him and he will return to the Viridian Gym.

    Good luck!

  • he says i have 5 badges, i need more but i dont know where they are!
the 5th badge and the 7th badge?!

The 7th is Blaine, the Fire Gym Leader, who moved his Gym to the Seafoam Islands.

5th badge is perhaps Fuchsia City's Gym Leader, Janine? I can't recall the order, atm, but that seems like the only other one you'd be missing.

  • OK, two questions ...

    1) THE ELDER WON'T GIVE ME A DRATINI !!! I've answered his questions well but he gives me NO Dratini !!! I've even beaten Red but NO DRATINI !!!
    What's wrong ?

2)Why does the POKEWALKER keep on telling me "Stare down" ?

Please answer as quickly as possible ! :)

    1. First off, do you have an empty slot in your party? If not, you won't get the Dratini.
Secondly, did you answer all the questions right? If not, you won't get the Dratini.
Thirdly, are you sure you're talking to the right person? (just saying, because I've seen it happen). If not you won't get the Dratini.

If it is none of the above, then I'm sorry but I can't help you.

    2. I assume you're talking about when in battle and you press 'Evade'. It's not telling you to stare down, it's just telling you what your Pokémon is doing. It means neither Pokémon is moving. Sometimes this gives the wild Pokémon a chance to escape.

You should open a spot in your team to be able to obtain it, no matter if you failed or passed the test, you should get a Dratini. If you passed the test you should get a Dratini w/ Extreme Speed but if you didn't you will get a regular Dratini.
