I saw this on serebii and I though, why not take it here!

Basically the purpose of this thread is to list what Pokemon would live in your city or town, if Pokemon existed in our world.

I think we would have loads of wingulls around Cardiff since their are loads of seagulls and some pidgeys and maybe mamepatos too as pidgeons...! I live near a park too so people would walk their houndours, vulpixs, growlithe's too! I always hear crows in my garden in the morning that wake me up so maybe murkrows?

Also, for the poll I voted Hoenn since I live in the UK and Hoenn is an island with loads of water and its with same around the uk (except its probably hotter in hoenn)

So what about you guys? :D

My area is probably most alike Sinnoh. It's very 'city' if you get what I mean. You'd probably find Houndoom's and Arcanine's alot. There are definitely two Houndoom's next door to me.

Swellow's could probably represent the large amount of Pigeon's around my area.

In my local park you could probably find some Bidoof, Rattata or Pikachu. There's probably alot more stuff you could find in my park but it's late and i'm tired. :P

This is a very interesting thread, well done!

Though I'm not too familiar with Isshu, I voted for it, because I live in a very urban area which I imagine Isshu to be.

Though, in my section of town, I live near a lot of fields and forests, thankfully. I hear sheep baaing off in the distance, so I assume the farm near me has Mareep and Miltank. I also have a pet Houndour (doberman lulz).

I see a lot of starling birds, so there are the occasional flock of Starly. There are also a lot of squirrels, so they can be Pachirisu.

    I answered this correctly, right?

    Hmm...
    Johto
I live near New York City (Goldenrod)
I also live near the beach, though, so Montauk can be Olivine and Long Beach could be Cianwood
It gets cold in the winter (Mt. Silver)
Can't think of any other connections right now...

I'm not sure what my town is like, mostly Kanto I guess.

But there'd be a lot of Cherubi and other headbutt pokemon, because of the trees.

I have no idea which region I should pick as none of them remind me of home.

I live in a fairly large English city, I think the road I live on would often have Starly's/Pidgey's flying around and making nests in the trees, I've also heard Owls on some nights so I think there would be some Hoothoots aswell.

The city I live in was bombed a lot during the second world war, which resulted in the city centre containing a mixture of old and new buildings, I'd imagine ghost Pokemon would appear in many of the old buildings (especially in a lovely pub I often visit, I believe it was built in the 1300's). The ruins of the old cathedral still stands in the city centre, according to rumour the sounds of planes and bombs have been heard there, therfore I'd imagine many ghost Pokemon would appear there with one Spiritomb being hidden within one of the 14th century stones. The old spire standing next to ruins reminds me of the Tin Tower in Ecruteak so I can imagine a legendary Pokemon who used to live in/near the cathedral's spire would have revived the Pokemon victims of the blitz in a similar fashion to what Ho-Oh did with the legendary beasts.

I think the rest of the city centre would be home to many different Pokemon such as Pidgeotto, Staravia, Honchrow and Noctowl roosting in the trees and on the roofs of buildings with Poochyena, Meowth and Eevee sometimes being spotted wandering the streets and Abra and Ralts sitting on the ledges and balconys of buildings just watching the world go by.

Not too far away from the city centre there is a very large park, there I would expect to see Taillow and Swellow flying around and Hoppip being carried along by the wind. I'd also expect to see pokemon like Sentret and Zigzagoon in the fields with many grass Pokemon like Oddish, Roselia and Sunflora appearing near the flowbeds and hedges. The park is connected to a deep forest where I would find many different bug Pokemon, mostly members of the Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple and Spinarak families however I can imagine seeing a Scyther or Pinsir within its depths.

The reason why I spoke about the cathedral ruins and park is because I think those are the two locations where Gym battles would take place.
If the battles were held in the fields of the park the leader would specialise in the Flying type.
If the battles were held in the ruins of the cathedreal then leader would specialise in the Ghost type.

I voted for Hoenn because where I live, it's surrounded by a lot of sea (like Hoenn). The place where I live also has characteristics of Isshu because most of it is dominated by cities alongside the wildlife.

The area I live is a suburb of London. There aren't many animals lurking around and only tiny amounts of open spaces that Pokémon could run around. Therefore, the only real resemblance to an area in the Pokémon world would be Petalburg City in Hoenn.

Coincidentally, the nearest city to Petalburg - Rustbro City - is a huge city that could resemble London so the likeness of being a suburb of London is quite realistic in that sense.

I'm like in Sinnoh. It's quite cold in Poland compared to most of you. I live in central part of the biggest city in my country,so there are not many animals there, especially as it doesn't border the sea. A few Pidgeys and Pachirisu (there are some squirrels in parks.) Oh,and maybe Psyducks/Farfetch'd. ^^

Seeing as Isshu is probably based on NYC and I'm from NY, I'm going to have to say Isshu. :)

I'd say Kanto. The weather where I live is more or less Identical to Tokyo.

My new place is probably like Kanto or Johto. I have like a mini-forest in my backyard, and have seen all kinds of creatures in my house and outside. A lot of butterflies, moths, ants, cows/horses (live in an expanding city but still a lot of farmland), dogs, etc. Can't get any more original than that!

My old house, way in Colorado was probably like Sinnoh. Far away, cold, near the mountains, and a lot of animals just not ones that were really new to me.

Positive, Poland is like Sinnoh definitely. There are also a lot of bugs, like Ledyba, Beedrill or Dustox. Especially where I live.

Well i'm from Michigan and we are surrounded by water so I though something like Michigan being a really big cerulean city. but here the weather changes constantly, and gets real cold here...So i'm not so sure.
