I second a platypus. The closest we've gotten is Psyduck and Golduck, but their tails are all wrong. XD

Fun biology fact: the males of this hypothetical platypus pokemon could be water/poison type while the females could be pure water-type. :]

There ARE many animals that are not made into Pokemon yet, to be quite honest.
Excluding the Legendary dogs, I have yet to see a Tiger or Lion Pokemon.
The animal kingdom is quite extensive and very hard to list off.

People believe that Nintendo have run out of animals to lose but come on.
There are many that have been untouched.
Many types of birds, mammals and bugs that can still be utilised.
They just need to use their creativity to form such Pokemon.

And with the way Black and White is selling (even before it was released in Japan), I'm not worried about whether there will be a Gen 6, I'm just thinking about WHEN.

I would love to see them make a Pokemon out of this thing.

Aside from that I could list a ton off but I'm sure most of 'em have been mentioned already. God, this thread is already getting me excited about Gen 6. @-@

I'd love to see Termites, Lion Fish, Stone Fish and maybe even Virus.

There are quite a few animals, and fairly obvious ones, that haven't been used yet.

Hawk
Eagle
Dolphin
Wolf (can't believe there's no wolves yet. Mightyena and Poochyena are Hyenas, not wolves. and hyenas are actually closer to cats then dogs, with their closest living relatives being meercats and mongooses )
A gorilla (Infernape is really more baboon/monkey like, I'd like to see an actual BIG gorilla.)
Tiger
Lion
Peacock (someone said Ho-oh? No, Ho-oh is a phoenix)
Lobster (corphish is a crawfish)
Fighting fish
T-rex
Stegosaurus
Earth-Worm (really though, can't believe there's no worm pokemon)
Burning-bush pokemon (fire/grass type)
Electric eel
And of course squid/giant squid

And for legendarys, I'd like to see a Pegasus, Gryphon, Chimaera, and Sphinx.

I noticed a lot of people saying Kangaroo...but, there's already a kangaroo?

They do not have pokemon that are based off of Oxen or birds of prey (unless you consider Pidgeot one), or Praerie dogs.
Also, they should make a pokemon that would be characteristic of steam...a Water/Fire type.

Or a Uranium pokemon (Rock/Poison Type) that would evolve into a Plutonium pokemon (Steel/Poison type)

Or a Ground or rock/Poison type pokemon made out of lead.

Terrakion is loosely based on an ox; Staraptor and Wargle are based on birds of prey (the hawk and eagle, respectively).

I'd probably want to see a Pokemon based on a centaur or a tarsier for some reason.

Hawk - I believe part of Staraptor design is based off a Hawk
Eagle - Wargle and Pidgeot
Electric Eel - Shibibiru and Shibirudon

A Sphinx legend would have been nice this go around since this generation had an expansive desert.

A lot of vivid ideas you got there,

Electric Eel is taken btw.

Isn't Slaking sort of like a gorilla? It's kind of like a cross between a sloth and a gorilla to me.

Ah, see , I haven't played gen 5 yet.

As for Slaking being a gorilla, he's pretty close, but like you said he's an evolved Sloth. Sloths actually used to be gargantuan in pre-historic times, and I believe that's what he is supposed to be. I want a type of Gorilla-pokemon that resembles a silverback, that walks on all fours, but can stand. Something big, and hulking. It could even be grass type, or grass fighting.

Even though we technically already have a panda Pokemon (Spinda), I want another panda Pokemon that actually LOOKS like one. Hopefully, it could be a Grass type starter panda Pokemon that becomes Grass/Fighting. :3

Although, there's evidence to support that Hihidaruma's supposed to a baboon, but it still looks gorilla-esque if you ask me. XD

Niiiiice. That's awesome.

Like I said, I haven't seen many gen 5 pokemon, so thanks.

My girlfriend's favourite animal, the Zebra, finally got one in gen 5, which she was overjoyed to find out about. So now we're BOTH very excited about the new games coming next spring.

But hey, how about a Cheetah pokemon?

Also, I'd really like to see a poison fire type, that starts out as a blob of oil(pure poison). When a firestone is used on it, it turns into an oil fire, with a creepy face shaped in the flame, similar to Spiritomb's style of face, but with fire.

dolphin and a robot dragon is not a animal. dragons are mystical creatures and robots aren't real yet and aren't even alive. I'm not trying to argue though.

Actually, Komodo Dragons are very much real.

Also, Robots ARE real, too. They are used in most modern factories, and several japanese companies have created synthetic humans. Google it.

Yeah, but the topic says "Animals" not non living inanimate objects. I am not denying the fact that robots are real because obviously they are, since they manufacture most of our cars on assembly lines. Maybe the topic should be expanded to items, naturally occurring things/objects, mythic figures/creatures? Or anything else we can draw upon including the aforementioned items. Objects could full under non living things. And if Mythic figures/creatures where added that could give more thought behind new legendaries, since they are often mythic figures.

Yeah I guess I can safely say we have a Cheetah in Gen5.
