Dewott and Samurott should be Water/fighting (seriously, Samurott is Samurai + Otter. No fighting type?)
Servine and Serperior should be maybe Grass/dragon?
Also i think Deerling and Sawsbuck should change types according to season:
Summer - Fire
Autumn: Grass
Winter: Ice
Spring: Normal
What do you think?
Deerling changing type would be very nice. All the Formes would still be part Normal-type, with only the secondary type changing. Normal/Fire and Normal/Grass would be very nice. I think Spring Forme could be Normal/Water though, due to the frequency of rainfall.
And Daikenki should definitely have been Water/Fighting. Makes much more sense than
a circular humanoid tadpole, at least.
Cofagrigus should've been Ghost/Ground or Rock. It lives in the desert,
Agreed.
Why do people keep on saying that a Dragon-type starter would be overpowered? It would already have a 4x weakness to Ice-type and 2x weakness to Dragon, Flying, Bug, and Poison-types. Emboar can always Poison Jab it and Daikenki can use several Ice-type moves against it. Emboar could also unexpectedly learn Ice Punch (hey, if
limbless ball ghosts can learn punching attacks, Emboar can learn ice moves! And hey, it can already learn Boiling Water, a feat no other Fire-type Pokemon can do...)
Game Freak can also nerf the stats and/or movesets of a Grass/Dragon Jaroda if needed to give other Pokemon a fighting chance. And we've already had a
Steel-type starter, which only lets Grass-type moves hit for
neutral damage. Not only is Torterra weak to Empoleon's Ice-type moves, it's also forced to rely on its secondary
Ground-type to deal super-effective damage. Last time I checked, Ground-type was
not part of the standard "Fire/Water/Grass" triangle. So yeah, a part-Dragon-type starter Pokemon is totally valid, as long as necessary precautions are taken to put said starter on equal footing with its counterparts.
