You know what would be cool?

If they brought back the Battle Frontier and some of the challenges could be done with a friend alá XY. :D

That would mean Mega Absol for Sidney, Mega Banette for Phoebe, Mega Abomasnow for Glacia, and Mega Garchomp for Drake! \o Unless Mega Flygon and Mega Walrein are introduced or something. I'm pretty sure Abomasnow is someone's signature Pokemon , but I say that because I doubt Mega Walrein would become a thing, nor would something like Mega flygon. :(

You take that back about mega flygon! Its happening until it doesn't./denial

About the bf, I can see them doing something crazy. Like making a semi-mmo mode, with each server being a battle island, with a capacity of 50 players.

Somehow I believe Mega Sableye is more likely for Phoebe.

I'm very certain there's going to be more unannounced mega evos coming. I'm eyeing particularly on Sharpedo and camerupt. Maybe even metagross.

I would say Mega Banette. I imagine her team to be Sableye, Duskclop (evolite), Dusknoir (if added to the dex), Banette, and Banette (Mega). Of course they could also simply give them teams of four like they did with the Kalos E4...but having repetitives are better imo.

Glacia can have Froslass (interestingly both her Glalie's in Emerald were female...while Wally's Gardevoir was male...and they got new evolutions in Gen IV...), Glalie, Walrein, Sealeo (evolite), and Walrein (Mega)

She'd most likely be using Mega-Sableye, since it was introduced in OR/AS and not X/Y. Though, I definitely wouldn't mind if she were to have Mega-Banette alongside.

Be rather sick if each Elite + Champ sent out a Mega. As Megas have been from their highest level, not really sure if I want a BA MegaDusknoir trolling me for minutes of my life.

Eviolite Sealeo sounds annoyingly useful. Bring on MegaFlygon!

I think Megas are pretty cool, but I'd rather not have every Elite Four member get them. They seem like a really special thing that only a handful of people can use, so if everyone started using them, they wouldn't be as special anymore. Then again, maybe they are supposed to be transitioning from being special to being something a lot of people can wield. If that's the case, then I could see the Elite Four getting them for rematch battles (if those end up happening) and maybe even the Frontier Brains having them as well for their battles. (Given, most would have to switch up their teams; Noland might not even get one since his teams are randomized.)

I really hope they aren't supposed to be something that lots of trainers utilize. I like that Mega evolutions are special and not many trainers are capable of using them, it adds to the feeling of pride when the player has a Mega of their own. However, I think the Elite Four would qualify to get a Mega evolution; they're a group of the strongest trainers in Hoenn, and Mega evolutions are extremely powerful Pokemon, so it would make sense that they have one. As much as I loved RSE, they should try to make the Elite Four's teams a bit more diverse. d:

One would think that if there were to be any region with a lot of Mega evolution trainers it'll be Hoenn considering it's Gen III theme of bonds between Trainer, Pokémon (Mega), and Nature (Primal). Also I can see Steven giving the E4 Mega items...he has been researching Mega Evolution after all.

I don't like how rare it is as it makes the player seem like such a Sue...well more than they were in the original games (all of them, more so starting in Gen III and getting worse, especially the Unova (being a Chosen one) and Kalos ones (being able to bond with Pokémon we recently captured and Mega evolve them...)), that and also broken... the only Megas we fought in XY were Mega Lucario...but we had a Mega Lucario too, Mega Gyarados...but we had the mascot on our side (well maybe depending on what we choose), and Mega Gardevoir in the hands of a champion who makes Alder and Wallace look challening in comparison.

Your argument on having Megas being common is flawed. It's like saying capturing a lot of Legendaries is broken or beating the E4 when you just started your journey about 4-5 hours ago.

Pokemon games are designed all the same. Like ORAS said, it is all about a Mary Sue beating strong trainers, getting all of the strong Pokemon, and save the world. There is nothing to change that. :/

Doesn't necessary have to be super common though. Maybe 4-5 people? XY had 4 people.

I personally wouldn't mind it if all Elite Four members wound up using mega-evolved Pokémon, and perhaps even a couple of Gym Leaders. Seeing them too often could decrease their value, to some degree, but still; they're in-game, so why not make use of them and have these guys make appearance? Megas might not be too common at the moment, but I'm sure it will be at some point in future, as Masuda's stated it that he's going to give all Pokémon (well, at least the fully-evolved ones) mega-forms some day, and once that happens none of this will matter anymore; they'll be treated as just like every other Pokémon, more or less.

That's true. I think that they should at least give them out to the strongest trainers in the land and leave it at that. Common trainers may not get Megas, but special trainers should. I imagine Wally having one. Maybe the opposite sex rival if they evolve their starter to it's final form. Steven. Also Wallace as he's close friends with Steven and has an Emerald ring which can maybe be turned into a Mega item.

Speaking of Mega Evolution, do you think Hoenn may have a catalyst? For Kalos the Sun Dial had the power to lift Mega stones from the ground while the energy that came from the weapon created Mega stones.
It's possible the Kalos weapon lead to Mega Evolution in the whole world. If so I wonder if Steven or someone else will bring up Xerneas/Yvetal...or maybe just refer to it as the Kalos legend (I noticed in Y they just referred to the mascot as the Legendary Pokémon instead of by name...)

Definitely some of the prominent characters in the Hoenn story should get a Mega evolution on their team. The rival, Wally, Wallace/Steven; they all qualify to have one, and it wouldn't hurt to give every Elite Four member one too. If they want to expand Mega evolution, it's going to become more common among regular trainers, I think.

I would like to to be for Gym leaders, Rivals, Frontier/Facility Brains, E4, the Champion, and of course the player. I hope that the everyday Joey on the road doesn't get Mega Evolution...now that'll be too much xD

This is what I'd like to happen in ORAS, though I would sort of prefer if the E4 only got Megas for their rematches. I'd also be fine if they or the Frontier Brains didn't get 'em, as it might be too much XD (Still, I can see Noland maybe utilizing a Mega Evo. since his teams are random and the Pokemon in the Factory are usually given competitive sets.)

Also the early gym leader highly likely wouldn't have them as they have basic stage Pokemon. If they give Wattson his Emerald team then Manectric is the first Pokemon that is fully evolved, and has a confirmed (introduced in XY) Mega. If he get's his RS team then...who knows Maybe Mega Torcoal will happen and Flannery will be the first one?

Keeping them limited to 1 per team was a very wise decision, that alone limits how diluted their awe-factor can be. As long as that holds up in ORAS, and I don't see a flippin' youngster whip out a Mega Raticate, and it's primarily Gym Leaders / E4 members using megas - I'm fine with it.

I -could- possibly see the Gym Leaders getting Megas for their rematch teams, but even then I think that'd be going a bit overboard. If one of them were like Korrina and had a connection to Mega Evolutions, it'd be all right, but I'm not sure which would, if any. Maybe Norman? Would definitely give him a more prominent role (which he deserves, in my opinion).

They say Norman exercises every day (during his run from Littleroot to Petalburg) and he comes off as someone who seeks to become stronger. So he'll be a good fit for the highest level there is. Imagine him Mega Evolving his Slacking into something with an ability that isn't Taunt (maybe it'll have Vital Spirit from it's days as a Vigoroth). That'll be like fighting Primal Groudon/Kyogre (if they get the 100 boost) in the middle of the game...

Slaking without Truant would be extremely tough to go up against. If they do have this Pokémon change its ability while mega-evolving, I'd imagine them to reduce some of its stats to make it seem not too over-powered. Defense and Special Defense, maybe? They could also decrease Speed, I suppose, but it's already pretty slow, I believe, so there wouldn't be much point in that.
