    Thank you :D I gained 15lbs over winter, but I've knocked 10lbs of that off, so almost back to where I was.

    My boyfriend's made so much more progress :( but it's OK! I'll get there, snailing along.

    I'm 218lbs or so, but most of the weight is in my thighs; is it apparent?

    And my boyfriend'll be here in an hour :D!!

    Yeah , just keep striving! I really didn't see your thighs as that big to be honest. Besides I don't get why so many girls strive to have a "thigh gap" or really , really small thighs anyway. Just an opinion. Though losing weight and being fit is healthier in the long run, so just do what makes you happy. Hope you and your boyfriend have fun!

    My sister says our genetics won't allow for a thigh gap. My boyfriend says he finds wide hips attractive, though. Maybe an inate thing - instinctively, wider hips = fertility? I dunno :P

    but I'll snail my way down to 150lbs hopefully.

    Yeah there's a good amount of guys who find wide hips attractive, so I don't think it matters. You look good either way.

    I'm thin and have wide hips and I think for that reason I have a thigh gap (when I put my feet together my knees don't even touch and I'm not bow legged). I think you're less likely to have a thigh gap with narrow hips just because your legs are closer together. So you never know...

    Good work on all your weight loss, by the way. I've been browsing the last few pages of this thread (curious to see what people on here look like) and it's great that you're doing something positive for your health.
