What mega stone is better? From a competitve standpoint, are either of them actually good, or should I just pick the pokemon I like more?

If you want to be "tier whore" there are Mega Stones that are banned and some aren't worth to use because you could get better stats or benefits with other items, like a Life Orb.

Or you could just play with what you like and work, really hard, to make it work. For me I love Absol and I'll use Absolite hehe

I'd say it depends on the comp. Some mega stones fit in some comps better than others. Then there are Pokémon that function well enough without their Mega.

Ah. I'm not a competitive battler, so I can't tell you much about that. But, upon quickly comparing the two megas, I've found that M-Swampert has 5 more base stats than M-Sceptile. Swampert, too has bigger defences together with a higher base Attack compared to Sceptile's Sp. Atk. However, Sceptile has over twice the speed Swampert has.

So fromt that I'd say, Sceptile is your sweeper while Swampert is your tank. Both just have vastly different uses to actually compare one to another.

I have trouble transferring my items from demo to full game. I have a hard copy, and I have done several transfers before. But I now want to transfer my Glalie. (I also have Heart Scale set left) whenever I talk to Steven, he says "come back tomorrow, and we'll talk". I have messed with my 3DS time clock a week ago. But does it take so freakin long for Steven to actually give me my items?! What's going on? I've been trying this since last Sunday and it's now Friday already. Anyone recognizes this? Please help!

If you keep having those issues, I suggest restarting your game. Find a better Wi-Fi area, possibly. Not sure why else it wouldn't work :/

Ok does anyone know why they made it this way 87.5% chance for a male and only 12.5% chance for female? can anyone justify this? seeing as a few pf the eeveelutions were clearly meant to be female.

There's no justification behind it, except to possibly encourage players to trade and interact with others more in order to get rare female Eevees.

because if you don't have a ditto, you can't breed more Eevees. It's the same reasoning behind why the starters have the exact same gender ratio. They want to make it harder to breed more so that it encourages more trading and to think of the one you get as "Special". Same with all the genderless pokemon, you can't breed ANY of those unless you get a ditto.

Fixed. I talked to Steven exactly 24 hours after the last day I talked to him (day before today, not the last time I talked to him per sé). Seems this is some kind of weird glitch or bug, as more people have similar issues.

On the topic of transferring from the demo to the full game, if you have both games do you have to choose which game receives it, or do both games receive it?

Do the ribbons get arranged in a specific, pre determined order no matter when you get them, or are they arranged in the order you get them? While I do want to get all the ribbons, it's kind of a hassle if I have to get them all in a specific order (particularly the day of the week ribbons)

Can they be from previous games like B2W2 or Platinum? Or do they have to have been caught in ORAS like the case with Groudon and Kyogre in HGSS to get Rayquaza? Thanks!

I think you can actually use the legendary from any old game transferred by Pokemon Bank, I don't think it has to specifically be caught in OR/AS to trigger the event.

Alright, I transferred the Zekrom I still had in White from my Red Mono-Color that I did back in the summer, and put it in my team with the Reshiram I caught a few days ago, and it works. Thanks!

Did Nintendo announce any plans for patching X and Y so there's no more "Kalos Rules" and any of the new items/moves/Megas introduced in ORAS are in the files for X and Y and the games can play online together properly?
