    Community Mafia



    In a world void of color and creativity, the citizens of Blandville and Boringtown were at peace. The two groups of Crayolans never experienced emotions. They lived their lives in monotonous routine. Day after day they repeated their jobs, never growing tired or feeling energetic. The entire land was black and white. That is, until the citizens of Boringtown discovered color.

    The citizens of Blandville grew jealous of Boringtown, and started to attempt to steal the secrets behind color. War ensued and many Crayolan lives were taken. Brothers fought brothers. Fathers fought sons. Sisters and Mothers made passive aggressive comments to each other. The world was in chaos!

    Eventually both sides discovered the waxy color-filled substance below the earth and soon found ways of using something called creativity to create anything they could imagine! The once peaceful land, made of only black and white, was now divided into color.

    The only problem: With all the new colors, you could no longer tell who was friend, and who was foe.




    Mechanics

    This game will function as a completely normal mafia game, but with one twist. The roles are made by the players who sign up. After everyone is signed up, the roles will be looked over and then randomly distributed to the players. This means you will not receive the role you create, so be careful how powerful you make it!

    There are a few limits when making a role, however.

    1] No OP massive killing roles
    2] No invincibility
    3] No super complicated abilities; Complicated is fine, but if your role needs more than three or four sentences to explain you might need to simplify it.

    These are not very specific, however I trust that most of you know what would logically be the limits for making a role. I do, however, still hold the right to change role abilities before the game starts.

    You may reserve a spot by posting in the thread, but I'll need your form filled out asap.

    If you really want to play, but can't think of a new role, put a "?" under the role name and leave the rest of the role section blank.

    Violent Violet

    Active Ability(s)- Can kill someone every night

    Passive Ability(s)- if they guess their kill's alignment correctly, they will cannibalize the target and switch to that alignment.

    Win condition- wins with current alignment.

    Active Ability: Visits a person at night, he/she can reverse their NA. (Like if someone NA is to kill someone it will become protect for that night, similarly Protect become kill, investigator can't visit, recruiter change to same alignment whoever they visit etc etc)

    Passive ability: One time during game he can reverse Mafia kill if visited the same person as mafia.

    Win Condition: Choose between town and mafia at N2. If don't want to align with any faction he/she can choose to survive till end.

    The Color Guard

    Description: Obsessed with doing his duty, the Color Guard will stop at nothing to lay down his life for the greater good.

    Active Ability(s): Visits a player once per night. All actions against that player are directed onto the Color Guard. If killed, the Color Guard will wound/kill their attacker.

    Win condition: They win if they fall in the line of duty defending an inno, and lose if they remain alive at the end of the game or die for someone mafia/third party.

    The Thermal Engineer

    Username: jdthebud

    Description: The Thermal Engineer is obsessed with making Heat Guns, which can be used during the day to melt another player. He is glad to give out his previous creations, but only if visited at night. However, because he threw all his old guns in a pile, there is a possibility that those guns may backfire. He also outfitted each gun with a biometric thumbprint, causing players other than himself to be revealed when they are used.

    Passive Ability(s):
    At night, if visited by no one, he will make a new, working Heat Gun and arm himself with it.
    If visited at night, he will give one visitor an old Heat Gun that has a 50% chance of backfiring and melting the user.
    If killed at night, one visitor will receive a new Heat Gun.
    Heat Guns the Thermal Engineer makes for himself will never reveal his identity. All Heat Guns that are given to visitors will always reveal the shooter.

    Grave Digger

    Username: Zehn

    Active Ability(s)- once per night, graver digger will have the ability to dig a grave. The next person to die will be buried in the grave, and the grave digger has a 75% chance of taking an item of the dead body.

    Passive Ability(s)- Cannot be targeted by night actions other than the detective. If a night action is attempted the will be silenced untill they escape the grave yard (1 day phase)

    Win condition- 10 graves filled or alive when a faction wins (if third party)

    Username: Etherion

    Ability: As long as he is alive, every night action that he is targeted with will target to a random player instead. Seeing that he cant be killed at night, the only way is to eliminate him is to melt (lynch) him, wound him, shoot him with a gun OR any day time killings.

    Win Con: He wins IF ONLY, he is the last man standing

    Role Name: The Crayola CopyCat

    Ability - Every night, The Crayola CopyCat can gain the ability of the last person who died. The old ability is replaced with the new one. Once the CopyCat dies, he can give the last ability he stole to one of his team members. The gained ability cannot be stolen, and the player who tries to steal it will get the message: "No One Copies the Master of Copying, you Copier!"

    The MLG Nosc0per

    Username: Foxrally

    passive Ability(s): Every night the MLG nosc0per feasts on doritos and mountain dew, increasing his stack of MLG by 1. Every 3 stacks of MLG (i.e. every 3 nights) grant him one rifle, up to a maximum three rifles. He starts off with one sniper rifle at the start of the game. However, he cannot use the rifles until his shirt is torn. (which is explained below)

    Active Abilities: The MLG nosc0per always wears a bulletproof Call of Booty™ shirt, meaning the first time he is attacked, he will survive. When this happens, the shirt tears apart and the massive arsenal of guns (as well as his rippling muscles) are exposed, causing his role to be revealed to the public, but also giving him the ability to Nosc0pe (i.e. kill) someone on the day he is revealed depending on however many guns he has amassed with his MLG stacks over the course of the game. After that, he will throw away his guns and realize how bad of a game Call of Booty™ is, becoming a regular town member.

    Active Ability(s): Every night, can PM the host a player they want to kill. If this player is Mafia, the shot has a 100% hit rate. If this player is Town, the shot has a 25% hit rate. If this player is a third party or independent, the shot has a 50% hit rate.

    The Twin
    Username: Elektra Heart

    Active Ability(s): None unless the Twin inherits.

    Passive Ability(s):
    At the beginning of the game, the twin is assigned to one person. Their "twin." The twin knows this person's name but not their role or alignment.

    The Twin begins with no abilities. If their assigned twin dies, the Twin's power will activate. They will immediately inherit their role. This goes for all alignments, although the Twin will not change their alignment, remaining town despite their new role.

    If the Twin dies before their assigned person, they will die as well.

    The Wax Seal
    Username: Collector Elwood

    Active Ability(s): May select another player during the night and [COVER] their hands and mouth with wax, silencing them the following day phase and having a 50% to negate their night action.

    Passive Ability(s): Anyone who visits this role will be similarly "covered in wax" and be unable to speak the following day phase; receiving a message as if they were actively silenced by this role.

    If targeted with a lethal action or lynched, the holder of this role will survive and be notified that they have "begun melting," and will instead die at the end of the next day phase.

    The night after their death will become an open forum "party phase" due to the role's blood having covered the floor in a groovy assortment of stylish colors. However, a non-mafia aligned player will be selected at random and have their Night Action totally negated.

    Rules

    1] Death-posts are not to be posted yourself. PM me your death-post and I will post it in the thread. This may have some plot stuff attached so pay attention to these posts! Posting after your death will penalize your teammates so don't do it!

    2] Don't post at night. Doing so will result in you mysteriously disappearing without a trace.

    3] Vote to kill someone by posting [MELT] USERNAME in bold or anything with a similar format. But come on, saying melt is more fun than saying lynch!

    4] Missing your vote or action two phases in a row will result in your death. An exception may be made if you contact me ahead of time.

    I really didn't want to join this game, or pretty much any other large game until The Darkest Dungeon II, but I enjoy creating roles too much to not at least post here.

    P.S. - Screw summarizing a role in a few sentences.

    Spectrum


    Each night, the Spectrum gains an additional color at random. These colors include Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Once all seven colors have been collected, the Spectrum may choose one final color, either being Black or White.

    In lieu of using an action at night, the Spectrum may opt to either Meditate, gaining two new colors instead of one, or Impart, giving away one color to another player, overwriting their previous role and adding them to the Spectrum. Only the original Spectrum may gain new colors. Once a color has been given away, only the new wielder may use it, but should they die, their color will be returned to the original Spectrum. Should the original Spectrum die, all of its colors will fade, and anyone touched by its light will return to normal. Once during the game, the original Spectrum may sacrifice itself, making another color within its current rainbow the new "Original." This may be done during any day or night phase.

    Additionally, the original Spectrum may not lose its role. Instead, should another role such as the Color Thief interact with it, that role will take one color from the Spectrum at random. If the original Spectrum should gain another role, it will simply add that role to its arsenal while retaining its original role.

    Each new color grants the Spectrum a new ability. The Spectrum may use any of these abilities each night, but may only use one per night.

    Red
    The light of anger. Using the power of red light, the Spectrum may kill another player each night.​
    Orange
    The light of avarice. Using the power of orange light, the Spectrum may utilize the abilities of any role that it has killed using red light.​
    Yellow
    The light of fear. Using the power of yellow light, the Spectrum may prevent another player from performing an action during the same night, and may either silence them for the following day or force them to vote for another player of the Spectrum's choice.​
    Green
    The light of willpower. Using the power of green light, the Spectrum may redirect another player's action onto a new target.​
    Blue
    The light of hope. Using the power of blue light, the Spectrum may reflect all actions that target it back onto the user.​
    Indigo
    The light of compassion. Using the power of indigo light, the Spectrum may protect another player from death.​
    Violet
    The light of love. Using the power of violet light, the Spectrum may cause another player to fall in love with it. Should the Spectrum die, all of its lovers shall die with it. Should the lovers learn who the Spectrum or wielder of violet light is, however, they will attack the object of their affection, forcing them to either vote for their love or target them with a killing action, and nullifying the condition that causes suicide upon their lover's death.​
    Black
    The void of death. Once the Spectrum obtains all seven basic colors, it may choose to wield the color black. If it does so, it loses all previous colors and becomes aligned with the forces of evil, gaining the ability to kill one player every other night and instantly revive them as a mindless zombie aligned with the black light. Should the Spectrum be killed while wielding the color black, it may revive itself once, but it will lose its role completely.​
    White
    The light of life. Once the Spectrum obtains all seven basic colors, it may choose to wield white light. If it does so, it loses all previous colors and gains the ability to revive a player every other night, as well as avoid death once. If the Spectrum is killed while wielding white light, it will splinter, granting seven random players a random color of the original Spectrum, be they friend or foe.​
    Win condition: Wins with the town if no colors have been imparted. If colors have been imparted, wins by gaining majority with all members of the Spectrum. If the Spectrum gains control over the color black, it wins with the mafia.
