Eevee and it's evolutions?

I have caught a Eevee and I bet a lot of you have already. I was thinking if I go outside and get some more eevees and try to evolve one will it turn into Umbreon well it couldn't since Umbreon came in Gen 2(And that's sad because I wanted an Umbreon since it's nighttime). However, the other 3 were in the first gen which are Vaporeon,Jolteon and Flareon. So have any of you gotten to evolve your Eevee?

I haven't got enough Eevee candy to evolve one of mine yet, but I'm pretty sure it's random which of the three evolutions you get right now. That's the conclusion most people are coming to so far.

I went around looking for a Bulbasaur which I couldn't find and tried to get the Eevee on the way but I didn't find it. Instead I found a Goldeen...on the streets.

It's definitely random! Evolved my eevee last month and so did a couple my friends last month and we all ended up getting different ones. Unless it has something to do with the stats or moves, but I don't think anyone's really tried to look for an answer for it.

I do want to know though, if anyone has evolved multiple eevee yet and gotten two of the same kind?

Someone posted on Reddit a few days ago that they tested with their friends and all Eevees with Dig became Flareon, all with Swift became Vaporeon, and all with Body Slam became Jolteon.

I swore up and down that my Jolteon had Dig so I set out to prove him wrong since I find Eevee all the time.

Every Eevee with Dig has become Flareon (4 of them), every Eevee with Body Slam became Jolteon (6) and every one with Swift has became Vaporeon (3). For the record I am Team Instinct.

So, still more testing to do but if it was random I should go play the lottery.

According to what I've heard from a frind, it does have to do with moves. Kind of strange, but I'm guessing there ar no evolutionary stones? I haven't played the game yet, so I don't really know.

This theory worked correctly for me the first time but I swear the second time I had Dig and was expecting to get Flareon but got Vaporeon instead.

Now I have this 337 Eevee with Swift, already have a Vaporeon, but wondering if I should evolve it anyway because.... who knows what I'll get if it doesn't follow the pattern again??? Argh.

There are no evolutionary stones in the game. At least not right now. The only way to evolve your Pokémon is with candy and stardust.

Anyone know if there is one that can evolve into Sylveon?
No Pokémon past generation one are in the game yet, so no Sylveon yet. >:

    I think it's still up in the air whether the special moves have anything to do with the Eevee evolutions or not, but the last Eevee I evolved into Flareon did know dig... so who knows. This app is still early in release and we're still figuring everything out about it - that's most of the fun right now, right? {XD}

    Sigh.

    Eevee and it's evolutions?

My friends and I have tested this multiple times. While I, for some reason, seem to attract Flareons to no end, I have friends who evolved multiple Eevees in the same location to Vaporeon/Jolteon.

I originally thought it's related to location where you evolve the Eevee, but that turned out to be false. I also heard it's related to movesets, but I don't remember what my Flareons had. Worth paying attention to for my next Eevee.

My Eevee knows Quick Attack and Dig, so will I get Flareon then. I guess I'll chance it though I may not be able to get another Eevee. Last one I found inside my house.

Being a Pokemon noob...I must ask, which evolution of eevee is the best?

I haven't evolved my eevee quite yet but it knows Dig and I've been wanting Flareon, so I'm hoping that that pattern holds true. I'll evolve once I got a Lucky Egg active so I can get that double evolution EXP.

Guys, the moveset thing has been proved false multiple times, including by myself with my sole Eeveelution. =p

Depends on their moves and what they're used against in Gyms. Don't think there's much difference here with GO compared to the main games. I guess the main thing is 'how many typings exist that oppose Flareon, etc' in gen one, as typing does have an effect.

I don't know... sounds like something Daily could have an article about though. ;D
