I dont know if this has already been answered but, how do I patch this game?

It downloads as a IPS file, and I dont know what to do with it.... I really want to play it.

I have fire red on my pc and Visualboyadvanced emulator

Download the IPSLunar Patcher and patch the IPS file on to the clean fire red Rom

Patch on a clean Fire Red v1.0 ROM.Then rename the .gba/.sav file the same as .gba/.sav file.The .sav amd .gba must have the same name in order to continue the game.Unless Beta 3 will have big changes in which you have to restart the game.

So I rename my current gba/sav files to the name of the new ... let's say I have named my .gba file RocketRed V3 I take the old .sav file named RocketRed V2.sav and name it RocketRed V3.sav as my new .gba file and then play?

Just a suggestion, but I would really appreciate a way to evolve Haunter to Gengar.

I found a bug, sometimes when walking through a door, the game will crash, and it has happened to me at the Rocket Hideout and on the S.S. Anne. Please fix this. :)

Yup, still around and still (although quite slowly at the moment) chipping away at Beta 3. Posting here mainly to reiterate that neither I nor Rocket Edition are dead (having been on the other side quite a bit I know that's a common and reasonable fear). Don't have anything to show you guys right now, and I'm sorry about that, but take my word for it that progress is still being made.

In my opinion, this is exactly what ROM hacks should be- a game situated inside the universe, but at the same time completely different from the original games system and experience.

It helps that the dialogue, pacing, and concept itself are all perfect :)

You make my heart melt. It sounds to me like you got the game. Or your taste in ROM hacks just happened to cross with mine. Appreciate it; many more fun things to come, I assure you.

Haha there is unfortunately no email list-- or, as far as there is, you're looking at it. Traditionally trade-evolved Pokemon like Haunter will have new evolution methods integrated in Beta 3, promise.

Thanks for letting me know! Which emulator are you using? If you're able to, could you post a screenshot of where the crash happens?

I'm praying that the save files to work because I won red have a 130.000 bounty on me and 35.000 money and 5 pokemon 35 level each ... when I get the beta 3 ips file what do I do next I patch with a fire red rom file and use the same files or patch to the beta 2 rom?

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure about the state of save files going from Beta 2 to 3, as I may have to expand the number of flags and variables available in the ROM to account for new features. I'll keep you posted as far that goes. If it does come down to it I might just recreate your save file if it turns out to be incompatible if you're really invested in it. ;)

Thanks for letting me know! Which emulator are you using? If you're able to, could you post a screenshot of where the crash happens?

The emulator I was using was Visual Boy Advance Version 1.8.0. i cannot post Images so The Elevator of the 2nd Floor in The Rocket Hideout, and some Door in the S.S. Anne.

Hey, just wanted to say I just finished playing beta v2 and I LOVE this game. It's everything a ROM hack should be- clean, very well written and the best story I've ever played. Very excited for beta V3 when it drops and I wish you the best.
