Maybe you could just consider that I haven't seen THAT MUCH anime, and think: "I shouldn't hate him for it, he just doesn't know any better... >_<"

    :P
But I already thought that about anyone who likes that miserable excuse for an anime

Ehhhhh, you can like whatever you want to like; I'm not saying you're wrong for doing so or anything. Good for you for liking it I guess...I mean, a bad experience isn't a good thing or anything. xD

Cool, I guess I should list all the anime I've seen and liked so you can have more ammo... :P

    In no particular order:

    Cowboy Bebop
    Dragonball Z
    Gundam Wing
(Various other Gundam whose names I can't remember)
    Soul Eater (FOOL! :P)
    SAO
Deadman Wonderland (Don't really like the gore stuff, but this one was interesting)
MADOKA MAGICKA (Quiet, you poonshka! >_<)
    Space Dandy
    One Piece
    Naruto (And Shippuden)
FullMetal Alchemist (Preferably Brotherhood, it just seemed to have a deeper storyline)

There's more, but I can't remember them off the top of my head. It looks like I just like the popular ones, but it's not really because they're popular, they're just easily available.

Also, I know I could sit and pick apart what I watch and deeply analyze it's meanings and all that, but I prefer to just watch and lightly enjoy them.

Liking Madoka is honestly all the ammo I am ever going to need. xD

There is much despair and excitement ahead of you, depending on what you watch. What's been your favourite thus far? :o

Same. This is why I don't interact with fandoms any more; everything is serious business to them, and it's like...just a show, calm down, meanings are all subjective anyway. This is also partly why I don't watch much anime these days too...nothing is really enjoyable anymore. Or I'm struggling to find enjoyable shows.

Cowboy Bebop. One of the first ones I ever saw when I was a kid, and everything about it seemed so well done. :D

Like: "The fact that Naruto likes ramen noodles so much is clearly a protest piece against the war in the Middle East..." >_<

Okay, that was a ridiculous over-exaggeration, but you get the point. XD

I stopped watching the show before I even got to that point, haha. It was plenty boring enough before then =P

  • Looking forward to getting through that myself. Though turns out I've been watching it in a jumbled order already, so going to have to rewatch parts of it in order this time. Only was like 4 episodes in, so no big deal.

I've decided to slightly spice up my 2009 chronological semi-rewatch by using the dubbed episodes for the ones I've already watched in 2006 broadcast order. At least I'm not watching the exact same episodes, and get to hear the dub.

I really need a show that'll get me back to watching anime.

Does Symphogear get any better after the first season? Like, substantially better, because the first season was appalling.

...how does Russian make Haruhi any better? Genuinely curious.

  • No particular reason. It's just a good dub.

Symphogear G is just a more refined version of the first series, it does pretty much the same thing although with more ridiculous action, better animation and a more entertaining villain. Also Chris becomes a full member of the main team which is a good thing. There's some dorama in there with Miku, Hibiki getting relic cancer and some unexpected links to the previous series.

Symphogear GX takes the family drama of Hibiki and Tsubasa further, sadly didn't improve the show.

Villains in season 4 are the new world order and the girls the Geahs are fighting include 2 men that were transformed into women by a woman that dresses like a man. Their first fight in the series was with Nazis in the Amazon rainforest.

Basically give the second season a go if you enjoyed Hibiki punching things. If not then it probably just isn't the show for you. That would be sad as it's pretty much the best series there is.

  • No idea.

On the tipic of dubs I just watched a couple of episodes of British dubbed Urasei Yatsura. The BBC did a them back in 2000 for some japan segment on tv. Without knowing it they pretty much invented invented the abridged series.
