I'm actually very surprised that the rest of Corocoro hasn't leaked yet, unless what was covered in Pokenchi is the exact same thing. But still, if there might be news next month there should be a blurb in the magazine that says "next month we'll cover this and that on USUM, stay tuned!" or something to that effect. Even more shocking to me is that we haven't gotten Dusk Lycanroc announced on the official website in the other languages. I'm normally pretty laid back and patient when it comes to news, but this has me perplexed.

The whole point of fossil pokemon is that they come from fossils. Having them found in the wild would make the concept pointless. So the fossil park thing along with the genesect form is fake.

I can't see the link, but I probably call it being fake since as Alexander pointed out, fossil Pokemon are meant to be extinct meaning they can't be found in the wild and have to be revived from the fossils. Also, there's the fact that Hawaii (Alola's basis) doesn't have the right environment for prehistoric creatures, which explains why there were no new fossil Pokemon introduced in 7th Gen and instead we had the Sinnoh and Unova fossils obtainable from a shop.

I was talking with Achromatic the other day, and he said that maybe the lack of information isn't because they're being secretive about it, but because maybe they don't have anything to show. I mean normally we don't get a dozen new things over than story changes right? And showing story changes is pointless, so I'm not sure what else there would be to show.

Wasn't there a set of leaks that was like, 1/2 true last time? Also didn't the starter evolution leaks come from 4chan? You're right, there's a lot of fake stuff, but it has some true stuff sometimes, so don't immediately discredit it when that has been proven false.

We occasionally get some truth from 4chan, but quite often the only way to distinguish fact from fiction on that site is with hindsight, because it's so full of crap. It's interesting to read, but the credibility of the majority of it is flimsy unless its corroborated by another source I think.

Yes, it was those Chinese leaks that correctly predicted stuff like Salandit and Alola having no Gyms, and I think Lillie being related to the main villain as well.

The Decidueye, Incineroar and Primarina leaks I think came from 4chan as well, and I remember thinking they would be real from the moment the art leaked, even if several people here tried to convince me it was fakes. There was some evidence that pointed towards the leak being true, such as Ash and Mallow appearing on the Incineroar art, and a red "Confidential" label printed.

I just prefer trusting official sites. I was wrong about the chinese leaks because i thought they were fake. Turns out they were real. However, i feel trusting a leak is like getting your hopes too high. I prefer not to get disappointed over and over again. But that is me. Everyone is free to believe that a potential leak is real.

There can always be grey zones, don't always need to go black or white.

You can use 4Chan's leaks as references, not a need to be extreme on either whether they are right or wrong. Chance are, they might be true, doesn't mean they aren't false neither.

Take everything with a pinch of salt.

colours pointed this out on Twitter--but what about Emerald and Platinum? They didn't have a whole lot of new stuff, but they're regarded as new games. The only really new stuff aside from story in B2W2 were the extra legendaries from past gens, difficulty modes that had a pretty convoluted way to get, like one more town, old gen Pokemon, and the new fused legendaries of course. Definitely forgot some stuff, but looking at this objectively: we already have old gem Pokemon in SM, so no need to reveal this. A new town, okay that's cool, and the fused legends. Not a whole lot to advertise right?

Ah I meant in opposite--the other games didn't have a lot of new things but they still were great in my opinion. But if you weren't a fan of them then I guess that would lower the hype for you!
