    • My first session of Pokemon Ultra Moon of only five hours ended at the new beach where the surfing takes place! I cannot wait to experience this new gameplay feature! It works well for a region that takes place on numerous islands! Surf's up!

    At the very beginning, right after we choose, it does follow us. Then shirtless lab coat guy forces us to put it away and we listen WAY too well. YOU, GOOD SIR, RUINED A BEAUTIFUL THING!

    I'm on Route 4, and after spending what feels like forever trying to get a female Eevee, I'm going to move on. Hoping to trade for one instead of feeding my growing hatred of Pikipek, Lilipup, and Trump Rodent.

    I really liked the changes they've made so far, with the surfing and added 'mons being most notable for me. That and the blue people.

    Looking forward to continuing onward ^^

    • Reached Akala Island yesterday, but decided to restart, chose a different starter (Rowlet to Litten after watching a Top 10 best pokemon to use video) and different skin. Now in Route 3, having just beaten Totem Raticate (1HKO with Hawlucha and Brick Break), at 3 and a half hours, and my team is Litten, Grubbin, Hawlucha, Inkay, Rockruff and Noibat

    • Just got to the first trial site and training pokemon. Also trying to get a Sparow to get Hawlucha. At almost 5 hours.

    I had to train because Ilima's Smeargle was a pain for Rockruff and Litten. Got beat like 3 times before I had to form a strategy to win.

    I was curious because I legit lost twice to the teacher and once to Ilima (not the trial, but the battle with him). And I had to grind up to beat each of them because I was under leveled and had to add Pikipek to the team to actually win. Even then, I still lost Pokemon to them lol.

    I need to get a Sandyghast as fast so I can have 4 Pokemon.

    • Just got to Kiawe's trial... and lost, so time to go train again. It's so so slow to level up in Alola if you're training multiple Pokémon. Rowlet is as hard to use as I expected lol. Popplio made the game so much easier so I kinda had it easy in Sun lmao.

    • Just defeated the Water Trial (wow) and now I'm back at Paniola Ranch from backtracking and picking up a couple of new Pokemon. I'm really enjoying the game so far, even if some parts do feel samey to SM.

    I just beat the game as of this moment. One thing I will say is that it's hard as hell. There were plenty of moments where I was cursing at my screen because the AI decided to be mean to me. Definitely a challenge and worth the wait.

    • I got both versions on release day and binge-played UltraSun... I'd say I finished it :) .

    I'll play UltraMoon more slowly... I'm entering my name right now.

    Thanks for the warning.

    I have a Rowlet, Yungoos, and Trumbeak so far. I'm planning on getting a Sandyghast on Akala, and once I can surf, Im going to go back to Melemele to get a Seel in Seaward Cave.

    My final member will be Jangmo-o. I just wish it was available earlier in the game.

    I've backtracked to the Seaside Cave to get me a Seel. Pretty excited to use one (and right in time for the fire trail!)

    Im going to be doing that exact same thing for a Seel. My team will get wrecked by the fire trial if i dont, and I'm really excited to use Seel. Ive always liked the Pokemon, but ive never used one.

    W00, a fellow Seel fan!

    I don't know if I'll use my eventual Seel (detoured in order to island scan Charmander) all the way through the game, as Dewgong does have lackluster stats. That being said, I intend to have mine for a long while!

    Gonna Seel this deal! *does a cheesy 90's hero pose and gets UM started up*
