You seem to have more to do than I did this year, I've mainly been doing some charity work/ odd jobs for a family friend. Going to Ireland and meeting up with Eoin was certainly a highlight though. I saw from your other VMs that you're in Australia so I guess we're like mirror images in that respect. Having fun here? :P

Thanks, I really appreciate the compliments. If I need some help with graphics I'll definitely call on you since I'm no artist. It seems like most people who go into Game Dev have/ gain a really artistic side in addition to programming, that's a really good feature of your sub-forum :)

Forever Lost was supposed to be a R/S/E remake with Johto? Oh how things have changed :P. Mapping with HEX is a horrible experience that shouldn't be attempted by anyone who wants to retain their sanity. I like a challenge as much as anybody, but there is a difference between pushing yourself and torture XD

Heh heh, I'm actually coming to the end of the year I took off between High School and University (starting in March 2012) so I know that feeling. Try not to get burnt out to quickly though :P

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed at the GBA's lack of graphical versatility but I generally find that you can still fit a lot in if you plan ahead of time while making compromises. I'm actually glad that all of the screenshots in really good Game Dev threads look ten times better than anything we could achieve in hacking - It really does inspire me.

I didn't know that you used to hack. Did you ever start a project or were you playing around with the tools?
