I'm pretty sure the method still works since you are using two different foreign Pokemon. Having two Pokemon from the same region (two French Totodiles, for example) will not work. And yes, the eggs that are generated will produce offspring from your region.

Trading in X/Y has been such a blast! Can't think of any cons that come with it...aside from the 100 friend limit, as others have mentioned. While it's possible that you can get scammed, that can happen in any gen. Haven't gotten scammed myself, and I certainly hope it stays that way!

I've been really enjoying Wonder Trade! I've used it so many times at this point. xD I always trade any extra Pokemon I have from breeding, and it's always great when you get good Pokemon in return such as ones with 3/4 IVs or version exclusives! Once I'm done with a Wonder Trade session, I go...
