All depends on the results when we play Reading at St. Marys. If we win we win the league, if we draw we go up, if we lose... well, I dread to think. We're obviously going to miss Lambert but I felt we missed Richardson more just for his constant threat and the sheer amount of goals he's created this year. Him and Fox are our biggest creative outlets going forward besides Lallana.
Fonte is good enough for the Premiership, not too sure about Hooiveld and definitely not Martin or Seaborne, definitely need improving centrally. I hate to say we need to replace Fox or Richardson though, despite the fact they're brilliant going forward and they are both shoddy defenders, depends if NA and NC want to keep them for their attacking abilities though.
I've seen Luke Shaw play and he's quick and pacey, really reminds me of the way Fox plays for us but I don't think he looked that great, definitely not ready to replace Fox or even Harding in the team yet. Ward-Prowse is always going to be an interesting one, along with Calum Chambers, they're both great central midfielders on the verge of breaking out; but, unfortunately for them, we have great cover in central midfield. It's a shame we've not got any young natural wingers right now, we could really use someone pacey on those wings. If worst comes to worse we could shove Jake Sinclair into the team, he's quick and could be an annoyance for opponents up top in a role that Lee plays, I do have concerns as I've seen him play and he sometimes rips teams apart or goes missing, no centre field for him.
I think we missed out big time on signing Gorkss at the beginning of the year, he's become a vital player for Reading. We need to sign some experienced players come the summer even if we don't get promoted. I'd be looking at bringing in a starting central defender and a substitute one, a natural right winger and perhaps another left winger to cover for Lallana when he suffers injuries.
