I don't know if this helps any, but I know a couple things about the surf script. One, the badge checkflag is not located in the main script. Two, there are over 400 places where the string of hex for it is. I've been working on trying to make it checkitem for my hack because I put in a hoverboard.

Ah, Neopets. I remember that site. Those were good times, back in the day when it was cool to play Neopets (and Pokémon too for that matter). I still log in every couple months or so to check on my old stuff. The stock market game is actually pretty addicting, along with Neoquest II :)
I use my same username there, too. Although when they asked me for my name, I just grabbed my student directory, opened to a random page, and wrote down the first name that I saw. Funny thing is, I ended up meeting the guy who's name I copied and we became good friends (we even go to the same high school now) but that's another story...

k, I just read your conversation with destinedjagold and I realized that he actually didn't change the blob itself. If it doesn't show up in Unlz nor in an Overworld Editor, then the only thing I can think of would be to try opening it up in Tile Molester or a similar program. Although finding the offset would be the tricky part. As destinedjagold said, I'd ask mitchel1 about how he did it (although I, personally, haven't seen his edited sprite). Good luck with that ;)

anyways, try looking at threads of hacks that have edited that blob thingy.
I suggest looking at Thunder Emblem and ask the creator, since he changed it successfully...

It made enought sense to understand it. I was just intrested, altough it could be useful if I start properly on my hack, at the moment I'm just really messing around with some ideas learning how to script etc.

I had to customize a tile inorder to do a bit of the map. It is just a V forest tree with sand in the background.

When you make the beta/alpha, make sure it is perfect and flawless. No errors to be spotted. There are plenty of people who determine that the output of the whole hack can be based upon how well the beta/alpha is. Just make sure that it's all well done before you go public with it, okay?

Yeah that is a problem, I can't script (yet) but I can program. There will be a flag that is set to tell you where to go when you faint maybe you could alter it. Otherwise you just make it so when you faint the police take you to the nearest pokemon centre and you have to fight your way out.
