Pokemon anime cries suck. Gallade's video game "swoosh" noise is cooler since it sounds like a blade.

Well, okay, but I think Serena should've been the travelling companion for Ash since the beginning. And the only male companion should've been Max.

Critic Prism Power!!! *transforms* Doesn't everybody know that Red sucks as a protagonist and that Ash is waaay better? I ship Misty/Brock, and it's canon in the show! Can't everyone agree that everybody in the pokemon universe has sex with their pokemon? XDDD

I think that would be a fun game--think of potential story ideas that would anger the fanbase the most.

I don't have an ulterior motive, if that's what you're saying :P I'm not secretly out to ruin or life or something. That's the job of internet trolls.

Okay, that makes sense. So basically why try if it's superficial? That's not the same thing as throwing out romance altogether. These things tend to get better in college, from what I understand.

So that was what did it, huh? I think I finally lost it way before then, when he got rid of all his powerful pokemon for no good reason.

I'm reminded of that romance anime Toradora! where a big theme is that pretending to be oblivious about your feelings can only work for so long until you hurt yourself or somebody else.

When did you hatred of Ash start? I'm curious. :P

Well Goemon is not quite dumb enough to think of a man as a princess (wow this feels ironic considering the tiara thing) the problem is, I don't think Goemon would understand if he had romantic feelings for anyone who wasn't the paragon of Japanese femininity. So oblivious to his own feeling and everybody else's.

Well it's in the manifesto, but it's more of an attempt to prove a relationship is not impossible than it is plot advice. I decided to keep plot advice out of the manifesto.

That's true. I'll word it less like plot advice and more like how they could deal with major problems in their characters.

The problem is now I'm stuck on one of Goemon's character flaws. Basically, he thinks of romance like it is in fairy tales, where a prince gives a gentle, kind, young princess her handkerchief and they ride off into the sunset (hence why Goemon is so easily manipulated by women). So Goemon is extraordinarily oblivious about recognizing love, either when he's in love with somebody, or when somebody else is in love with him. I don't know how to handle this. :/

I wish I could ask the me in the future what advice I gave about this XD

Like, maybe i should talk about how a pairing that evokes harmony might be less popular than one that is really (melo)dramatic, and why they can stand on equal ground.

Also, I'm thinking of giving some sort of plot advice to fanfic writers who might want to write this pairing--there are some things that might seem insurmountable.

Is this something I should talk about at all?

Not yet... I'm thinking of adding something else to it first. I'm thinking of some other arguments fangirls might have against the pairing, because I noticed something really, really odd--the pairing is more popular among Japanese and Korean fans, and English-speaking fans really hate it.
