I wouldn't picture there being elephants at marine world.

Oh, I thought you meant speeding. That does sound hellish though. Especially the crazy pedestrians part. They're always my worst enemies when I'm driving. They're taking the dog all the way to Germany? How long are they even going to be there?
    A
I actually laughed at your example. :D

I really don't understand people who do that. Just drive a little bit slower then usual for one day, it's not going to hurt you. Today I had to drive to school on icy roads and yet people still insisted on riding my butt, which then gets me nervous because say if they hit the brakes and slide they're going straight into my back. So I feel your pain. I'm surprised you've never driven in heavy rain before, though like I said in the past I always picture you riding a bike so, haha.

I did when I was younger and I remember it being a little scary. Just when they walk it feels like they're going really fast. Either that or it's just the perception I had when I was five.

Well I was thinking the way more out in the wild way. Like traveling by horse and stopping at night to sleep in the wilderness. Except that wouldn't work now since you can't just ride a horse where ever you please and the wilderness is roads and cities now. D:

Oh yeah, you're right. I guess sugar cookies/gingerbread men are the cookies of choice, but like you said I never eat cookies on Christmas.

That's what I've always wanted to do. :( Just go off into the world and go wherever the wind blows. It seems less possible to do now of days though. At least the type of wind blowing I'm thinking!

Well no red meat/bird would probably be a better way of saying it. Yeah I was just saying the other day that Christmas really doesn't have an exact food. I hear of people having turkeys on Christmas which seems like overkill because you most likely all ready had one the month before. That sounds like a great Christmas morning! I sort of wish my parents would catch on to some kind of Christmas morning breakfast, but they never did so I gave up.

For some reason I figured it would be a whole family pitches in to pay thing. I'll second that. I've taken a recent interest in Ireland. I had a cousin who backpacked all over Europe and out of all the places he said Ireland was the most beautiful.

It's some sort of Italian tradition. Although I think it's more of a regional where my relatives lived in Italy tradition then all over Italy. You're suppose to eat seven different kinds of fish and no meat whatsoever. That's just on Christmas Eve though. On Christmas we have a ham, but if it makes you feel any better I don't care for ham that much and so I stick to the mashed potatoes/broccoli casserole. :)

Why aren't you hitching along with them? Christmas in Europe especially Germany would be a lot of fun/more Christmas-like. I guess you could do a Christmas with friends or even a Christmas by yourself. It could be enjoyable if you enjoy being by yourself to begin with.

Yeah, I'm more apathetic towards Christmas Eve then the actual day of Christmas. I have to go to my uncle's and eat this seven course fish meal (tradition) and then stay there for however many more hours. Not that the fish is bad or anything, but it's not enough to make up for everything else. On Christmas just some of my mom's side comes over and they leave pretty quickly so I just have to get through it.

Yeah it's not at all as exciting as I remember it anymore either. I think that might have to do with the fact that I've been spending Christmas the same way for years. Once I get my own place I'll spend it my way and hopefully it will be a bit more magical. Anyways what are you doing for the holidays?
    A
Oh, never mind that sounds better then I thought. I wish there were things like that around here. All I've ever been to is a Christmas lights display and a Nutcracker ballet. The ballet was really good, but having gone to the lights display maybe two years ago it seemed a lot smaller then when I went when I was younger.

I've never heard of one of those before. I'm guessing it's a fair revolving around all his Christmas books right?
    A
No, if anything a second round of novelty gifts would better then the first. I'm easy to please though so that's just me. I guess it depends on how picky your family/friends are.
    A
Well then in that case I would say novelty items! Everyone loves a novelty gift and they're so cool that they give off a "sweet you care feeling." How does it not work out for you?
    A
When in doubt get a gift card. Well I can see where that idea takes out some of the anticipation. xD I personally find the stocking to be the best part compared to all the presents anyways.
    A
Touché. Although you still have to buy gifts and make food, unless you don't do that either.
    A
I think all the chaos is what makes it a holiday. If it were easy it would just be like any other day. Unfortunately/fortunately.
    A
Pretty much the same. My dad and brother went to Florida for my brother's football tournament and because of that my mom and I decided to tell each side of the family we were going over the opposite sides for Thanksgiving. Which ended up working out perfectly. It was easily the best Thanksgiving I've ever had.
Well that's a good thing, at least you enjoyed it while it lasted. Modesty is out of place, you clearly deserved that position.
