a 'machinist' in Dutch is just a train driver, haha. and a conductor i suppose is on-board staff? basically what they do is check people's tickets and take care of announcements... and probably a bunch other things i don't know about.
hm yeah, that's kinda the classic experience paradox eh. you need a job for experience but you need experience to get a job... can you try again some other time? or railway police i suppose would work too c:
and well, though i'm studying a 'proper subject', i'm really not super smart or anything. i just happen to have good memory, so studying is relatively easy to me, but i'm no genius, hehe ( ´ ▽ ` )ゞ
