Your hatred towards the SM anime is just as bad, if not worse, than my hate towards Serena's redesign. A few of us have told you many times as to why the changes were made for the anime, and so far, it has not affected the anime's overall quality. Ash is still the same Ash from the last saga, and Pikachu didn't get nerfed this time.

It's probably because Japan hates more serious characters. They brought back stupid, "funny" Team Rocket after trying to make them more serious and threatening in BW so it's probably the same for Ash. I think a series like Sun and Moon was needed to freshen up the anime since it was on its deathbed in XYZ like in the dark times of Johto.

That too, he was basically a robot that everyone worshipped. I felt they made it way too obvious tbh

I like it as much as the Battle Frontier and DP honestly, especially over DA! With gyms (XY/XYZ). I can't stand that series at all and imo XY Ash is by far the worst version of Ash. He's a screenhogger and an overglorified Gary Stu. It doesn't help that his companions worship him like he's a god

I don't hate Serena, I just think she was disappointing with the way she was handled.

Now I hate both Misty and May because their fanbases are among the worst, especially the Misty and Pokeshipping fans. I would put amourshippers and XY fans with them as well since they're almost as bad.

Yeah. Serena was such a disappointment and I just don't really care much for her anymore especially since Lillie is already being handled better than her.
