Ruby and fire red are alli play now, the DS versions arekinda lame and repetetive so i stick with 3rd gen cause its perfect imo

I have yet to battle them, but im prepared, i just taught my feraligatr dragon claw, and i finally got my hands on a jolteon, so those gyarados' wont be a problem and dragonclaw should take care of the rest

I managed to get my hands on a heracross in Diamond, and since thenI loved it. so i picked one up in HG. Mareep, not a big fan of it, dont know why.

my starter is always the strongest, around 5 levels at least, right now my highest is feraligatr lv 42 followed by heracross lv 37 followed by growlithe lv33. I have ho oh but i only use him for fly. or as a last resort

I only have Diamond sop i dont know what you guys are talking about with platinum but i can say, I hadalot more fun with HG/SS than i with Diamond. in HG/SS theres more to do, however it does get kinda boring. in Diamond theres better to do but less of it, so it in its own way gets boring...
