I think I finally understand what I'm lacking. It's not the content, it's the descriptions. I can say what move this pokemon uses, but I'm not describing how they are preparing for it or doing it. I can say I'm going through a route, but I'm not describing the scenery. I'm nto describing what my character feels or is going through. I need to do that. :D
