    I'm back from a life threatening mission. Sadly, the details of said mission is undisclosable. If you must know, I traveled all the way to the Sahara desert to enter a secret underground base in which I met a man who made me work like a rented donkey.
    Well, it works a lot faster than Pokecommunity. I'll join soon. Hopefully this'll be a bit more useful and I won't have to sift through people asking dumb questions.
    I'm not a real ROM hacker lol I've basically had the whole month of June to progress on my hack and I've restarted like 26 times and haven't gotten anywhere until the last two days.

    But YAY! That'll make the battle backgrounds soooo much easier.
    I'll do that. Hey, one more thing. You know that background hack that let's you set a variable to determine the battle background? Does that work for all backgrounds? Because that would make everything even easier since I could just edit any background to any other one and call it in a script and save myself the trouble of all that.
    By any chance, have you done Wingull and Pelipper's sprites yet? They're in DarkViolet's Kanto Dex.

    It's okay, I fixed them already. It was because a few spots on the palette map didn't have 2's over it. It looks awesome now!

    I have no idea. I just went to the offset 0x248400 in APE and edited the palette directly, like you said I could. I didn't check the Compressed Palette, but I just checked it and it said there wasn't a compressed palette there. I'm an idiot. There was a compressed palette, I didn't think to edit it. I'll fix it and see if it works. Other than a few glitchy tiles from the palette map, it WORKS! :D I'm happy now, so thanks for your help! You're gonna get hella credit for this, this is such a huge help and it makes everything so much easier for me.

    Okay, so I ran into a problem. I edited the palette directly like you said, but when I went into a battle, the game froze completely.
    Thank god, I thought that was gonna be difficult. I already have the tilemap using only palette 2, so I basically have very little work to do. Thanks so much!

    One more question. What's the UNLZ number for the titlescreen logo (aka "FireRed Version"). It's one of the last few things on the titlescreen that I need to edit.
