  • I don't know, I'll be keeping it for at least another 4 or 5 months.

    Wouldn't that just be pretty.
Gotta make them contributions. The name's pretty good. It looks better with the crystal color than O'aka did. And it just sounds better. I'm glad I went with it over my tribal africa name.
I do my best haha. Yeah it took about a month before anyone realized I was O'aka when I first got my name changed.

Okay. Ya know, I felt the same way about my thread on overrated games. :p

So, do you mean don't argue about the day one DLC, or just keep it civil? It was a good discussion if you ask me.
I guess I will! A lot of my friends are surprised when I tell them I'm a big fan of horror.

There probably is. Lego has branched out to just about every genre, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Sounds good to me! I'll have to keep that in mind. It'll be an interesting change from a story where your job is to actually control everything.
Kind of a weird technique of teaching people, but hey, it works, right?

Wow, I didn't know they made those. Okay, so maybe they aren't so bad after all.

I just hope I do everything correctly. Jacob isn't going to play nice to make a few friends, so hopefully they won't throw me to the zombies, haha.
All I know is that there's a cancer patient who goes by the name Jigsaw, who puts these people in these games to teach them how precious life is.

True, but my latest character is a lizardfolk. That would be more of a challenge.

I'll post tomorrow, as long as someone else replies first, because there is no way I'm being the first response.
Alright, so I'll have to watch at least the first three. I've seen some of the contraptions, and I really like them. It's about as creative as horror gets.

Most people draw their characters, which I would totally do if I could draw better. I should work on it. Anyway, I'm not sure how building a character out of legos would work. Could be interesting.

Alright, I'll post it as soon as I send this. Hopefully I did it correctly.
I haven't seen the Saw movies, but I know the premise, and I like it. Although, the thing keeping me from watching it is the gore. Despite my love of horror, I've never been a fan of excessive blood. I will watch it sometime, though.

I'll keep my eyes open for them!

D&D is a lot of fun, but only if you have the time to get into it. I've only been a part of three campaigns, with our group only meeting up once for each one. It's hard to get an actual group of people meeting consistently, so I've never made it very far into a campaign. I want to learn how to DM, since I think it would be pretty cool, despite the nerdy stigma.

So once I'm done with my character, I just post it in the thread in the roleplay lounge?
The Purge had such promise on what it could showcase, but it never did live up to it. It babied the viewer by only showing the death of people who had masks, face paint, or people who looked like they were out for blood, instead of the innocent people dragged out of their homes. They tried to be deep and philosophical with the premise, but fell flat on their face with a crappy plot, and mediocre writing.

I'll have to look around for them. There's a store nearby with a rather large movie section. It's where I found District 9 after looking for an eternity at other places, so it seems like a good place to start.

I think the closest I've ever come to RPing is D&D. I asked me roommate if he would want to try it sometime, but he's too cool for it, haha.
I actually got really mad explaining why I didn't like it to my coworker today. Rather than being a movie about exploring the depths of humanity, and the inner conflict of survival and moral, it tried to fit as many cliches as physically possible into the plot. It didn't know what it wanted to showcase, and it takes the top spot away from How to Train Your Dragon 2 on sequels that didn't need to happen.

Hmm... most of them sound very familiar, so I've either heard of them, or watched a few a long time ago. Most likely the former, so I'll have to log onto my roommate's Netflix account and watch them sometime. By that, I mean look for plot holes, haha.

Don't expect much, it's my first RP.
I do! I love movies and actually prefer them to books. Although, my roommate gets tired of me critiquing them all the time, but we both agree that The Purge: Anarchy is really dumb.

Alright, I'll write out my character, and if you don't see it tonight, expect it within the next couple days.
The main thing I like with District 9 is the character development. It's why District 9, How to Train Your Dragon, and Slumdog Millionaire round out my top three movies in that order. That, and great writing.

I'm going to have to go with the guy on the left. Now I just have to come up with everything else. Should I read through what's happened so far, or would it be better to not read, since my character would just now be coming into the picture, assuming I get approved?
I go nuts for light sci-fi, and Neill has some ideas that I feel like I could have written, so I'm excited. I didn't see Elysium, however, so this will be the first movie other than District 9 that I'll see of his. He struggled with creating complex villains in District 9, so I'm looking to see if he's improved on that.

I might as well go with a character I know pretty well, right? I'm thinking of a guy in his late twenties or early thirties who is purely logical. He doesn't care if he steps on any toes, and what other characters feel is irrelevant. He's here to survive, not make friends. So someone who can fit that pretty well would be nice.
Chappie is my most anticipated movie of 2015, so yes, and I'm also dragging along a few of my coworkers as well. Who needs Star Wars?

Also, are there any other portraits for your roleplay? I think it's about time I got into one.
It's my favorite movie! I've watched it around five times now, but sadly I missed it when it came out. Instead, I saw it a couple years later on tv.
Have you seen District 9? You posted a gif of it, so the floodgates have now opened, haha.
