I think it was pretty bad . . . the theme was just 'write a 3 v 3 Pokemon battle', but I could've done so much more with it. Since then . . . hmm. A handful of one-shots - maybe six? - and several incomplete chapterfics, each one sliiiightly longer than the last: Faith (based off the one shot, lasted maybe three chapters), Lost and Alone (PMD fic, lasted about four), Edge of Destiny (darkfic, maybe seven), Bang Head Here (Emerald parody, still on hiatus after six - biggish - chapters), Shattered (lasted nine chapters), and now Champion Game (thirteen and counting). Oh, and at some point there was Digital Demons, a kind of parody horror fic where a hypothetical alternate evolution of Porygon-2 goes berserk and kills people. One-shots, I've written (in no particular order) Torn (eventually the base for Shattered), Something Will Be Born (fluffy friendship emo!Cynthia thing), Faith (you saw), Broken, Crushed, New Game, another I'm working on at the moment (horror, will probs end up as a two- or three-shot) . . . Oh! I forgot Fractured, a short-lived chapterfic about Clair in an AU Johto where everybody's at war.

Jeez. I start far too many things. And this is all on top of a full novel and a half (two years' worth of NaNoWriMo), as well as an independent novella of about 18,000 words called Artificial (my magnum opus imo) and a crack 40,000-word Pokemon fanfic I did when I ran out of novel last NaNo. Most of it never got posted. orz

I play mine everywhere - even at school. :P

My first fic (a one-shot for a contest) was posted on the . . . twelfth? of December, 2008. I've been writing pretty steadily since then and the improvement is noticeable, even to me. I'll link you sometime - if I can find it, that is.

Ow, a dead DS? I don't know how I'd manage if mine decided to crap out. Yeah, I was never a massive gamer, but the Pokemon communities online are just fantastic. I actually joined up back in 2008 (at Bulbagarden) because Bulbanews (which showed up on Bulbapedia, which I frequented) was running an article about a Christmas fanfic challenge. I joined up and never looked back. :D

I just ran off the recordings of Crushed and Broken to make them more accessible to people who simply didn't have the time to sit down and read. Some people like listening to them on the bus or whatever.

Well, I see your point. Generation V is . . . I dunno how I feel about it, to be entirely honest. It's different, very different, and I don't really find anything wrong with it, but at the same time, it's no FireRed. I spent a disproportionate amount of time on Pokemon forums considering the fact that I've picked up my DS maybe once in the last two months.

If you're interested, I recorded audiobook versions of both those one-shots. XD And thanks for the compliment.

Yeah, a 'dark' Pokemon anime would be great, but it's just too well established as a kids' anime for that to ever happen, unfortunately. :/

Well, like I said, it didn't all happen at once. But looking back, it's kinda weird, but I've adjusted. I miss certain people being on staff though, omg. ;-; It was so golden around when I got modded. People like Klippy, Harry, Avatar, Matt, etc. Oh well. Not saying the current staff is bad, but you know, I miss the old days sometimes. :P

Yeah, I guess you're right, but it would likely be far too late to get started now. Besides, I've already got my path sorted and I don't intend to deviate from that, though I'm pretty sure music will always be a part of my life.

Yeah, it could pretty much go anywhere. I know pretty much exactly where I'm going with it and where we're taking pit stops along the way, but the exact route from point to point could be any number of ways. I might even find myself taking a scenic detour from time to time, and that'll be fine. :3

Yeah, most of my one-shots are a bit like that too. I had to PM Broken to a mod for approval before I posted it at Serebii under an R rating, and Crushed, while not so vicious, is probably no less depressing.

Yeah, that's the idea. They say if you work hard enough, you can be whatever you want to be. I'm not sure how much I believe that, but there is some truth to it, at least. Being a musician is something that would be cool, I think - I do love music - but I have no talent or sense of rhythm whatsoever; writing poetry is difficult enough for me. I admire anyone who can make music like that.

Hmm, well . . . there's no exact number of chapters planned, because my long-term plan isn't really that detailed. We could be looking at a couple of hundred, though. One-shots are still probably my favourite form of writing, though. I loved writing Crushed, Broken, and New Game so much. I plan to keep writing short-form fiction for quite some time. But yes, I can see Champion Game running - more or less weekly - for a couple or three years.

We call it middle school. And I'm very... Independent, libertarian, and so I basically "challenged authority even when I agree with it" (Lupe Fiasco quote :3)
But yea, I basically turned the DISTRICT upside down cuz I started some bad things between the teachers and office :P idk how it enflamed tho, I just started the stuff.
