  • Yeah, I really hated McDonald's and their sexism. They have been doing gender-specific Happy Meal toy ranges since the early 2000's, excluding stuff like movie promotions and heck even Olympics stuff back in the day. When they had promotions for Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008 they basically used the mascots. In fact, I admitted Beijing's mascots were adorable and I loved their design and naming theme.
Yeah, if it's a movie franchise being promoted (right now the current promotion Mr. Peabody & Sherman) they don't make the toys gender-exclusive. That 2012 Pokemon toy set had Pikachu, Servine, Pignite and Dewott in it while the 2011 one (which ironically wasn't gender-exclusive) had Snivy, Pignite, Oshawott, Reshiram and Zekrom. The 2012 set also had Woobat and Axew for its US counterpart, and the 2011 set in the US also had Pikachu, Zorua and Zoroark.

Don't get why they'd leave some of them out like that, but if I see an XY-based toy set in the near future I'm most likely seeing Pikachu (duh), Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie. What's the bet they'll make it male-exclusive again, forcing the females to get the way inferior franchise.
Not really, I guess the last time we had a Pokemon-based McDonald's Happy Meal was in 2012, and even then Pokemon toys were only given to the male customers while females had to settle for Zoobles instead.

It's making me believe McDonald's are being sexist lately because a lot of their Happy Meal toys these days are two different franchises that are only given to a certain gender. You get stuff like Hot Wheels and Transformers for males and also Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony for females.

And I know Pokemon has a solid female fanbase (I'm one of many female fans there) but I think they only care about the more predominant male fanbase there.
im doing alright, just relaxing.school was called off today because of no snow but it hasn't even snowed. lol
Ok great, thanks. I'm not going to be needing to do it just yet as im still currently trying to hatch a shiny hoothoot, lol. Then i'm going to be super training. We can trade FC's for the time being though if thats cool, and when i need to trade i'll give you a shout on here?
Haha no problem! Learning about history is a whole lot better than greeting grumpy people trying to do their Christmas shopping for the cheapest possible deals :P
Aww, don't be afraid! I'm not that sociable either, but I get through it! That sounds interesting. Are you just trying to make yourself more busy? Cause if thats the case go for a class to fill your time. Its much easier :X
If you want to get a job, all I can really suggest is don't give up because something is out there. Just be persistant.

I'm not sure how it is in Costa Rica, but I'm sure employers aren't too different. As long as you show you're dedicated, and genuinely interested, someone will bound to hire you! Go for places like grocery stores or something?
