I think what made the difference was the Facebook incident. Because of that she still forces me to make my timeline private, lol.

I totally get you, though. It was inevitable with the way she acted, compounded by the fact that you live so close to us.

About college, I'm moving to SF permanently in a few months to do a CS school. She's going back to Japan to finish up her last year.

I'll miss you at Otakon, since my Japan trip overlaps with it. This summer I'll be visiting Aki and other relatives instead.

Anyways, don't sweat it. It's all in the past now.

In some ways...I mean, she collects LEGO minifigures. She is getting a lot of flak from me for that after a youth spent being told I was wasting my money on Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. I wouldn't say she was eccentric, though. Ours is a very dysfunctional little family unit with a lot of quirks that make us seem eccentric to others but it's not as extensive as it might appear. But then, I'm probably too close to the source to be objective, haha.

I wouldn't say totally different parts; there is some crossover after all. I don't really fit into any one area; I just dabble in whatever looks interesting. About the only thing considered nerdy I've not done is live-action roleplaying and tabletop gaming, because those are too social for a shut-in like me. Ahaha, I used to watch a lot of reality TV when I was in College; it's so ridiculously overdone that it makes for fantastic viewing if you're in the right mood. Watching Jeremy Kyle scream at chavs can be highly entertaining. xD

Eh, to each their own, no? I grew up with Marvel and DC cartoons, so it's a lifelong thing for me. The only downside is that I don't enjoy the movies quite as much...the MCU villain thing really bothers me. There is more to comics than Marvel and DC though - original works are getting pretty big now. Saga is the single most amazing thing I've ever read, and The Wicked + The Divine is a pretty good series too~

I'm actually downloading all of those as they air, so this is probably a good sign, aha. It's just so difficult to find things these days that really grab me, y'know? This is probably why I'm not into anime quite as much as you are. It's hard to get passionate about these things =/

I was very tempted to reply to this last night anyway, but I'm supposed to be the one telling people to go to bed, not the other way around, aha. Sleeping regularly is perhaps my one good habit. The rest of my health is awful, but at least I'm conscious enough to be aware of it. Don't push yourself too much on Discord either, alright? You're doing a lot more than I am after all, since you're on PC's server as well. You seem a little put out sometimes; take it easy if you need to~

I'm hopping about between two ideas...I actually nearly finished one in 2013; I was debating doing something with that since I put a ridiculous amount of work into it, and the site is more or less finished and looks very nice. But the other idea I had is more original/appealing and all I'd need to do would be some creative cutpasting to mesh the two. My problem isn't motivation though, it's the advertising side of it. You'd think years of advertising Invisionfree forums would give me some skill at this, but nope. That, plus the RP site I was on shut down and I've lost contact with literally everyone who was on it, so I can't even recruit them =/

I took a third soluble painkiller a little while ago, and I'm distracting myself with stuff. I will get an early night though. I think it might be the paint smell emanating from some things mother was doing...and maybe I've been about online too much myself lately. Plus the diminished sleep. Bah. Stuff adds up.

Well, when your downtime is what most NEETs do with all their time...yeah, I can see how that'd go. Anything good in the seasonal anime currently airing? I'm not watching anything but I'm downloading a hell of a lot. Interesting plot summaries.

I'll take it easier tomorrow, I can tell you that much. Watch a movie in the afternoon or something...still got Evangelion 3.33 on DVD I've not seen yet. Try and finish off First King of Shannara. Work on my crazy RP site ideas. I might even vacate Discord and Skype myself for a day depending on how I feel. Or at least not be on every time my laptop is on. Downtime is good sometimes.

Yes, I generally dislike the idea of "shoulds" in gaming because they create a set of expectations they can't really live up to when you're as critical as I am and present this idea of unsurpassable standards that bog down the media in this idea of mediocrity buuut...yeah, you knew all that already, so you don't need the longer version again. xD

Well...as I said, I try to give everything a chance, and if you feel that strongly about it then it has me intrigued if nothing else. So if/when it pops up in a PSN sale again I'll see how things stand...£25 is a bit much to satisfy a curiosity. I've tried to separate my dislike of Persona 4 from the rest of the series with little success, but that's mostly because I've not wanted to shell out for another game in the series if P4 is the best it has to offer, which seems to be the common opinion...there's that "shoulds" thing coming into play again.

Day's been...eurgh, average I guess? It's not been horrific, but I've had a persistent throbbing headache since mid-morning and it's making it difficult to concentrate. I might get an early night, for all the good it'll do me. Got a little further in Resi 4 and Fates, so it's been a case of relieving irritation with tension, aha. I've done more reading than anything else, though. Things going OK on your end? :3
