I had no clue what that was when I first started playing The Sims. Though I wasn't allowed on the internet freely before my 13th birthday, so not really much opportunity to learn the technical side of it.

I have a friend who was working a roguelike solo, but I'm not sure how far along he got.

3D games will probably be considerably more time-consuming.

And maybe you guys could do a roguelike on the side, although 2 games at once is probably too much of a heavy workload.
