Tip about your font troubles: use the default font. (i.e., No font or color tags.) It means that no matter what computer and what skin your readers are using, they can still read your story. Yes, your story loses its formatting aside from bold, underline, italics, and other basics, but on the other hand, your formatting is not why they've come to your thread anyway. So, you shouldn't worry yourself too much about choosing something that works. It also means less work for you in trying to code your posts.
(Incidentally, none of the choices you offered show up as anything but the default on my own browser, so that should give you an idea about fonts, at least.)
