Common thing in SC, probably, lol. I can actually imagine most people wanting Sovereign Power, when it isn't very cool in the first place. It's kinda hard having a power that's powerful since it comes with a daunting price. Yeah, op = Mary Sue, it's :|.

Soullim's weakness is definitely how his power basically makes him alone, while I'd say Numboil's weakness is his Sovereign Power can't be used if he doesn't know the emotion well. If he hasn't learned about it/experience it, he can't manipulate it.

Yeah, not all Sovereign powers are super godly powerful, they just sound it. I'm pretty sure he does wish he had a different Sovereign Power, but you can't have/learn a different magic, you can learn extension spells, but never another type of magic. Magic gland locks into the magic you're born with. It's just a matter of discovering.

Unflawed power? Nah, that'd make them Mary Sue. We know Nestle's flaw is that she can actually lose herself in a paradox if she's not careful. She also loses control of certain aspects if things get too out of control. (And did you know her passive magic allows her to travel through any paradox, like the whole on Chime created when cancelling out worlds?) And Tainted's for example, her Sovereign Magic's flaw is that it doesn't make her a better person in term of personality.

I'll focus on any more if you ask, because Vanguard's, we know her flaw: it causes her physical form to disappear. temporarily making her a ghost like entitiy. And yes, Gleam did tend to use brute force through battles, I totally forgot about that. Been awhile since I've thought about it!

Well, I'm assuming he uses his magic to see through a person at that time, so he sees through that personality. I'm not sure if his power takes past peronalities into account, it might. His power does have flaws, though, you're right. All Sovereigns powers have flaws. With Gleam, it's that her Sovereign magic has issues with balancing the destruction she uses...she also has a hard time controlling it.

Maybe we could talk about flaws in certain other Sovereign's magic too, while we're at it.

Okay, so Eldritch probably starts out arrogant in the beginning, but his Sovereign magic allows him to literally see through a person's personality. He basically knows everything about a person once he sees through you, but it takes pieces of his personality to activate it. Remember how the Sovereign of Happiness's magic worked? Like that, except he doesn't literally give his happiness away, he just sacrifices his entire person.

His human magic is the ability to manipulate abominations, thus the name Eldritch. It means "eerie" in old English. It is a real word: see here.

However, unlike Sugar, he's aware of what he's losing, and only uses his Sovereign Magic when absolutely necessary. It could be possible he was the Sovereign of Happiness, just reborn into this life so he can't make the same mistakes as the last time his soul wandered around.

Also, he's a transgender male. Which is something I want to have fun with.

That theory seems really interesting. (And wow, I thought you didn't enjoy your siblings. Did something change while I was gone?) I would definitely have seen it coming if I were aware, but I wasn't... ghh.
