Really? It dosen't even look like a pokemon. Eh this gen had some good ones, but most arn't that good.
Gen III was pretty good, especially its world design. Pokemon were pretty good, unique.

Yeah I think you've got a point there... and yeah it gets Ice Punch iirc (as well as ThunderPunch) so it can get around most Ground-types. Camerupt yeah will really be it's main problem, along with Heatran as mentioned by some.

Those seem to be Mawile's only problem now.

Yeah, and now that Gardevoir isn't as weak to Pursuit and U-turn anymore she may finally move up a tier thanks to losing the Dark and Bug weaknesses. Azumarill I definitely see moving up to maybe OU if it gets a strong physical Fairy STAB. But yeah this generation was really kind to Mawile, gaining a Fairy-type, a Mega Evolution and Huge Power.

Yeah Mawile really benefitted from this typing. It'll be one heck of a wall to Dragons. Also, Azumarill now gets 6 resistances. That's really great for it as far as competitive play will be concerned.

I noticed that Dedenne will only get two weaknesses - Poison and Ground. And 5 resistances as well!
