Congrats on all the new shines guys! After a chain of 43 SOS I got a shiny Rattata, first SOS one with shiny charm so hopefully a sign of things to come!

Congrats on all new shinies guys! Was just randomly beating wild low level things with 5 Pickup Meowths in my party (want a Leftovers) when I encountered a Shiny Abra. Had to think for a minute which ball to use, as you get 1 shot - couldn't figure out the % for a Quick ball or Level ball etc...

Hey all, Merry Christmas! Update from me: - 734 more SOS encounters over 3 chains but no luck - odds evening out for me now! - Did manage to masuda an Aerodactyl, quite a cool one I reckon. 97 eggs in. - Just got my Shiny Charm! Now to go back to hunting properly!

Congrats on the new shinies guys! Have taken a slight break from finishing the shiny dex, am trying to Masuda for an Aerodactyl. And I am wondertrading away the ones I hatch, so that is helping me get more dex entries anyway!

Yeah, I am unsure really. I added 2 more yesterday: A Mudbray after 12 SOS calls and a Crabrawler after 40. I guess I could just be really lucky, but the rumoured rate of 1/512 seems too high. Maybe it's more like 1/256? And I wonder if maybe chains do matter, as I have been sticking with...

Well, I am dumb. Caught a Grubbin, not a Charjabug, but it is now a Vikavolt anyway so doesn't matter :) Congrats Lilygardy and AngelYT. Will be nice once someone finds out definitively the shiny odds with the SOS method.

You can always evolve the Tentacool and BOOM, problem solved :) I am now up to 4 sinies in Sun/Moon - managed to add a Meowth after 246 SOS encounters and then a Charjabug after a further 117 encounters :)
