For PC games, waiting is preferable, but for anything else, I usually just buy it when I want it. PC games definitely go on sale much more often and they aren't usually in high demand so I can wait to buy them.

Kirby Air Ride, man, that game is wonderful. It was sort of rare as well, I have no idea where it disappeared to. It was weird in a way that the game mode that looked strange and out-of-the-way (City Trial) happened to be the the most fun and popular one. I could play it for hours at a time...

I have to say the SNES; although the games on SNES usually mapped buttons in a stupid way, the setup was simple and easy to use, just 4 buttons and a D-Pad. All you need for a fun game.
