I'm currently training my Donphan, then maybe Blastoise.

All I have seen from the new games are the commercials, and my curiosity leading me to search the internet for info on the main legendaries. So I know relatively nothing.

I usually end up building a team that revolves around my starter. On the few times I have successfully removed my starter from my team, I can feel it's sadness, and I usually cave.

I'm pretty sure I would have made my life easier had I used one. However I am weird when it comes to legendaries and catch-only-one type pokemon. I end up banking them to preserve their newness and I forget to use them.

Name: Silver; Cam Rival: Gold; Chang Pokemon:I do not change the name of my pokemon, it irritates me when I do. The rival name Chang is a shout out to my friend, and how he and I met through playing Pokemon Yellow in school when he moved to the U.S. from South korea.

I think I will have to go with the ever annoying Fighting gym. Oh how it taunts me when I forget to bring a flying type with me.

I feel bad that I don't give enough love to the grass types but I hardly ever use them. The few that I can think of off the top of my head are as follows: Gallade Torterra Venusaur Meganium There are a few more, but the list is sorely lacking.

Diamond - Restart after losing it for a few months Pearl - Given to me, so I reset Platinum - Reset two days ago Heart Gold - Yet another reset, trying different starter Soul Silver - Working on getting National Dex A lot of resets for me, but I feel weird if I pick up a game after a while...

Before I reset my game a few days ago it was: Gyrados Luxray Chancey Gengar Gallade Arcanine ( Sometimes I switch to Infernape).

As much as I love Empoleon, my favorite of the starters in this gen, I think I'm going for Turtwig in my next play through. I like all three so it's hard to choose one sometimes as the best.

As I type this, I am trying (And failing miserably) to catch Lugia in a Premier Ball.

Bug Catching Contest Help I know this sounds dumb, but I can't figure this out. I caught a level 14 Scyther and was beaten by a metapod. I catch a Kakuna and get beaten by a Venonat. Is there a specific one I should catch? Like Pinsir or any others pre Nat dex for Thursday. Thanks in advance.

With the first play through, I was too lazy to make another team. I think it would be a fun idea to try it next time.

I play the English version. I was able to play the real Japanese version from my friend, which was funny because it took us forever to figure out that professor Elm's assistant wasn't in the pokemon center anymore
