So what I'll have to do is turn on the SWI and then, when the Oak background appears, I pause, check the SWI then find the Lz77 image before Professor Oak?

Yeah, I'm not really confident if I have skills since I have been spriting for 4 years and for the 4th year have I reached results like Babear and Fatty. Well, even though I am working on a hack, I could toss some help to you IF I AM ABLE and free. =)

I actually rip mine from game data or game rips using VGMTrans. It can rip to .SF2 or .DLS which is really nice.

I do say so myself that I am nice, I have been really idle in this community ever since I joined. I started rom hacking at grade 4 and up to now I have not made any progress. Good thing someone in the community offered working together to make a rom hack.
