So I've only played maybe 10 battles or so with a new team that I put together. On this team, I have chosen to use a less-used pokemon and that pokemon is Yanmega. And he has definitely impressed me in my battles so far. Obviously, he has some very significant weaknesses (quad weakness to...
sheer force totodile
Does anyone know whether sheer force totodile is available yet? I know it's not available in the wild, but can they be transferred through pokebank? I've been hearing they don't go through pokebank...
Thanks for that in-depth reply. I've actually been experimenting with the Life Orb and Black Sludge variants of Gengar and I was feeling that he lacks punch without Life Orb, but then again it is nice to set up a sub, take something out and keep healing to a good level.
As for the Excadrill...
So I'm looking for suggestions on this team I put together so here goes:
Mamoswine@Focus Sash
Oblivious
Jolly Nature
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
-Earthquake
-Ice Shard
-Icicle Crash
-Stealth Rock
Probably the best stealth rock lead I know of. Focus Sash + Oblivious means I'm guaranteed to get my...
Yeah I've been having much better success with offensive leads, like Machamp and Mienshao. I guess Klefki can be good though because of Prankster Taunt preventing set-up, as well as Thunderwave to cripple a set-up sweeper. Sableye is useful for the same reason, but with Will-o-wisp instead of...
So I've been struggling lately against teams that use set-up sweepers as leads. For example, I just faced a team that sent out Mawile as a lead, mega-evolved, and then swords danced. He then proceeded to sweep my entire team. So I'm wondering how effective it is to have a hazards lead. I feel...
I've had some good success with an anti-lead machamp if that interests you:
Machamp@Lum Berry
Adamant Nature
No Guard
252 Atk/ 252 HP/ 4 SpD
-DynamicPunch
-Bullet Punch
-Payback
-Ice Punch
Or if you're looking for a Bulk Up sweeper, I think Conkeldurr is better fit for the role...
I just made a thread about the possibility of Weakness Policy Dragonite...I thought I was being original, but I guess it's already been done though. Anyway, as stated above, I think Weakness Policy Dragonite can be very powerful.
I've been using an Assault Vest set with Conkeldurr that's been...
Thanks for the help! The team's playing very well. I've won like 5 out of the past 6 or 7 matches. I need to figure out how to counter Belly Drum Azumarill though. Man, that thing's powerful :)
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I've replaced Carbink with Forretress and that alone has made the team significantly better. I guess I'll continue to play test and see what happens :)
Interesting. I'll keep that in mind.
Also, a question for anybody who has any experience using Alakazam: is Focus Sash worth the drop in power? I've been using Life Orb Alakazam because it hits hard with no recoil damage, but I find that a lot of the time, he gets OHKOd before he really does much.
Hey guys, I've just started messing around with gen 6 battling and here's the first team I've put together. Any feedback is appreciated!
Carbink@Leftovers
Clear Body
Sassy Nature
252 HP/ 252 SpD/ 4 Def
-Reflect
-Stealth Rock
-Gyro Ball
-Toxic
This guy's basically here to set up Stealth Rocks...
