  • Haunter was struck by the endless bounds of cyan-blue electricity emerging from RayMav's Jolteon. It was as tough as hell to be able to reel off two Discharges in one match, it took alot out of some Pokemon.

    "OminousWind!"

Haunter raised its arms, and began to mutter some kind of chant, which was soon followed by the whole arena becoming dark, as if covered by a shadow. Haunter cackled menecingly, then felt a gust of wind hit the stadium, which became stronger and stronger. GrifSpark had to hold down his hat to stop in getting caught in the wind.

    "Perfect..."

OminousWind and Discharge battled for supremacey in the stadium, and while it didn't look like Haunter's was going to beat Jolteon's, it gave it some breathing room for the next attack.
GrifSpark tried to comprehend what RayMav was doing, but he couldn't quite work out what it was. Haunter would just have to keep his wits about him. And there was always one move he could use if things got hairy.

"Haunter..." it beckoned to the incoming Grovyle, as it once again waited for its masters order.

If RayMav wanted his Pokemon to subdue Haunter by grabbing his arm, he wasn't going to stop it.

    "FirePunch!"

Haunter's whole arm burst into a ghostly blue flame, much like the Will-O-Wisp, and it prepared to strike the foe.

(OCC: That wasn't the move I mentioned at the top of the post, I'm saving that one for an emergency!)
    "Haunter, wait for it..."

The Ghost-Type haltered any movement, waiting patiently for his masters next order. He glanced at the incoming foe, executing the move humans called 'Pursuit'.

    "SuckerPunch!"

Haunter swung its gaseous body over the Grass-Type, and swung its left hand into the Pokemons jaw. GrifSpark smiled, tactics with Ghost-Types were to surprise the foe, and he doubted RayMav saw that coming. Haunter smiled too, but mainly because he'd gotten a chance to left-hook another Pokemon.

"Let's try another move" GrifSpark muttered as Jolteon created clones by bending the light around him. "But you first..."
"Bloody hell..." GrifSpark cursed, both of his Pokemon were down.

He hadn't seen that coming, and it was one hell of an attack. GrifSpark had real respect for the RayMaverick guy, but GrifSpark wasn't out of the fight yet.

"Good job guys..." He muttered, as he returned both of his Pokemon to their Pokeballs. And then pulled off a final Pokeball.

"You're good RayMav, but I've got a couple more tricks up my sleeve. Go, Haunter!"

His fourth Pokeball exploded, revealing the Gas-Pokemon more commonly known as Haunter. It cackle loudly, before drifting higher into the sky.

    "Haunter, use Will-O-Wisp!"

The Ghost-Type raised its limp hands, and formed spheres of ghostly blue fire between them. In one fluent motion it tossed both at the Charizard, and watched as the attack took hold.

(I'm using Will-O-Wisp as an offensive move, basically like a fireball. Just thought I'd let'cha know.)
"Sealeo, keep up that Blizzard!" GrifSpark ordered, hoping to stall the Charizards flamethrower.

That should hold the icy floor for a while, now to act.

    "Psyduck, use Waterfall on Charizard!"

Lightscreen weaken Sp. damage, but Waterfall was a melee attack, so it should be fine. Psyduck bolted over to Charizard, as its whole body became clouded in a blitz of water. It was a few tiny seconds before Psyduck struck the Fire-Type, and GrifSpark had a feeling it would knock it out.

    "Only time will tell..."
The light was blinding, amplified by the barricade of ice. GrifSpark sheilded his eyes with his arm, but it still glared at him. Psyduck was hit directly by the light, and fell over backwards in surprise.

    "Gah..."

Sealeo on the other hand, had managed to keep its head buried into its chest, keeping the light at bay. If this light kept up they'd lose in minutes, but where there's a will, there's a way

"Psyduck, launch a Hypnosis at the ice-wall."

This move would be on a wing and a prayer, but if it worked, the ice would amplify the Hypnosis much like it did with Jolteon's Flash.

    "Now things get interesting..."
'Charizard looks too weak to move, he won't be reeling off that promised ice-melter any time soon' GrifSpark thought to himself. But he had more time to think, the ice barrier should hold out.

    "Sealeo, DefenseCurl. Psyduck, Amnesia!"

Sealeo curled back up into a ball, then flashed a pure white, signalling its defense had increased. Psyduck simple tilted its head, but it too flashed white.

"Prepare for a tough hit guys, using Charge increases the power of Electric-type moves" GrifSpark warned his Pokemon.

"Your go" he said to RayMav.
    "A Jolteon..." GrifSpark muttered.

Both of his Pokemon were weak to Electricity, but Charizard was weak to both of his. This could be interesting. And then an idea struck him, and he knew just how to do it.

"Sealeo, use blizzard on the floor"

This could turn the tide of the battle. Psyduck and Sealeo could move perfectly on the ice, and Charizard could simply fly above it. But he believed that this could turn Jolteons speed against him. Now for another move, Psyducks turn this time.

    "Psyduck, Waterfall!"

Psyduck waved its hands, which caused a tower of water to stream up infront of GrifSparks team, which quickly froze creating a barrier of ice.

    "Booyah..."
(OCC: Still harmed from the Slam, but hitting the ground would have added a large degree of damage, which Psychic stopped)

Dammit, he hadn't seen an Earthquake coming, even if it was one of the most common moves on a Swampert. He'd obviously been saving it for when it was needed.

"Sealeo..." GrifSpark muttered to the crippled Pokemon. It wasn't knocked out, but he wasn't far from it.

Psyduck on the otherhand, had been struck by a powerful Brine, but still powered through. Slamming its whole body into Psyduck. Luckily, this made Earthquake near non-existant against Psyduck, but GigaImpact probably did more damage.

Both of GrifSparks Pokemon lay panting on the floor, gasping for breath.

    "Psy-" he stopped.

It would be easier to execute a move once he knew what RayMav's third Pokemon was. GrifSpark just hoped that when he needed his fourth, that things would go off without a hitch...
(OCC: It does if the user is faster and the foe has used the move in the previous turn. Which happens a lot in the main game. But this is just making it up, eh?)

Psyduck had stopped the Surf move, but that wasn't the end of the fight. Unexpectedly, Swampert used a reel of Hydro Pumps to destroy the bubbles.

"Psyduck, use Psychic on Sealeo!" GrifSpark ordered as Sealeo was launched at Psyduck.

The Duck-Pokemon caught the Sealeo in a psychic force, and led him down gentley, and unharmed.

"Yes..." GrifSpark was momentarily happy, but was beginning to realise just how powerful RayMav's Pokemon were.

    (Speaking of which, die already!)

GrifSpark would have to work out something. Then it struck him.

    "Psyduck, Sealeo, use Brine!"

Perfect, Brine does more damage if the foe was on less than half-health. And RayMav's Pokemon definatly were...
Well, I don't just mod two forums anymore. I have power over all the other boards which is neat. Plus, I get to make more input on things which is nice. Plus, the promotion itself was all fun. :>
Sealeo stopped its Rollout move, only to be grabbed from behind by a SeismicToss from Charizard. He wouldn't lie, RayMav's Pokemon were insanely tough.

    "Psyduck, Disable!"

Another ace up Psyduck's sleeve, his eyes bore a ghostly aura, and he glared at Swampert. Just as the Water/Ground type began its attack, Disable kicked in. No matter how much it would try, it wouldn't be able to pull of a Surf any time soon.

    "Good job Psyduck"

Psyduck seemed more energetic now, using its psychic abilities always cured its headache, just like all Psyduck. Now GrifSpark turned to Sealeo, who was being picked up by Charizard.

    "Sealeo, use another Rollout!"

If Sealeo could pull this off, then it would give Charizard one hell of a friction burn.

    (OCC: Never underestimate Disable...)
good as always..preparing for my hari raya,a celebration for my culture if you don't know..
and preparing for exam...hahax..how about ya?
That's what RayMav thought would happen, he obviously didn't know about Psyducks ability.

    "Psyduck, activate CloudNine!"

The Duck-Pokemon began to glow blue, much like its psychic abilities. The clouds that were beginning to appear quickly disapeared before the rain started, leaving the Yawn bubbles completely unharmed.

"Yeah! Sealeo, bank left!" GrifSpark ordered, hoping he could dodge the incoming Slam attack.

    "Psyduck, use WaterPulse once more!"

(OCC: Be sure to learn about your foe before you fight them :))
(OCC: Ha, you don't have a clue!)

GrifSpark frowned. The Charizard was as fast as hell, and Swampert was a brick wall. He'd have to resort to desperate measures... But not yet. For now, Charizard was our best bet.

    "Hmm... Let's see..." GrifSpark whispered.

What was 4x effective against Charizard? Rock type moves, he could use that... But then he'd have to be careful of its Blaze ability, which may have kicked in already. But it was hard to tell.

    "Psyduck, use Yawn!"

Psyduck began to yawn, releasing thousands of pink bubbles from its mouth. If a Pokemon were to pop one it would fall asleep, it was a perfect trap.

"Sealeo, try a Rollout on Charizard!"

It was risky, but if it hit would cause massive damage.
