I have clones of them evolved, Dream Modest is Vanille the Sylveon, and Friend Adamant is Edana the Leafeon. They're not fully trained however

Hokkaido would be really nice. I do like a lot of nature/temples. My favorite temple was Hasedera in Nara (I went to the one in Kamakura and I wasn't as impressed).

The first time I went and stayed in Osaka, my gay friend went to a club strictly for gay men. So they weren't open to any other queer people, which is disappointing. It's like a complete ignoring of LGBT folks, but there's still a hierarchy for LGBT people.

Careers are definitely tricky. I'm at a job that I'm way too overqualified for, but it's the only place I could find work. I'm still applying to stuff in education because I liked teaching and working with students, but I think the academy is kind of a joke. I'm sure an opportunity will present itself to both of us sometime in the future!

As usual my Pokémon are all in fitting Poké Ball heehee :P I'll look at your stuff, and I'll let you know when I get my new Pokémon. :D

(those are the most recent ones) I also have flawless HA Shiny Drifloon and Venonat hatched by me (they also have plenty of egg moves) that are not on the thread yet, I have a Shiny Paras upcoming, and probably a Feebas, Miltank, Buizel and Horsea. Also Munna, Dhelmise and Azuril were bred by me but hatched by Taro Tanaka :D

Haha. Yeah, touristy Japan! I was thinking on my next trip to go more Northern. Also, I forgot to mention, I sprained my ankle in the main Tokyo subway station while trying to find the bullet train for our day trip to Hakone. Let me tell ya, there's no truer test to best friendship when your friend helps walk you around a nude spa with an ankle twice the size as it's supposed to be but you're too stubborn to stop ya.

Yeah, being a woman and LGBT is rough enough, but Japan's weird social norms around it are really insensitive plus being away from cities where everything's usually a bit more liberal doesn't help. I actually backed a Kickstarter for a documentary on the first gay law firm in Tokyo. My girlfriend's bi and Romani, so I totally get the societal pressures aspect of it even if I'm cis-white male middle class, etc.

Grad school's a hell of a challenge, and I had a lot of mental health issues, so I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I should, and they actually prevented me from getting my doctorate. Still, teaching in Washington at my alma mater (University of Puget Sound) would be a dream.

I've redone my shop a little, starting with the Shinies. You have access to everything listed as "Not For Trade", but they'll be non-redis. Got quite a few new Shinies hatched and caught by me :) my thread is stil closed so just tell me what you want via VM :3

I can understand why you wouldn't want to leave. I stayed in Osaka and Tokyo for my trips to Japan last year. I also went to Kyoto, Yokohama, Kamakura, and a few other places. It's super beautiful and wonderful there. But then Seattle's nice for local stuff in the States, too, since that's around where you're from. I want to move back to Washington, but I'm stuck in Utah for the time being. Stupid grad school.

Yeah, I usually run a lot of errands on Saturdays, and I also have an RPG group on Sundays (Fellowship is the system we run). Busyness during the week is also always up in the air, so I can never really give people a definitive trade time unless it's the day of or the following day. I hate scheduling my life around making a 5 Pokemon trade.

That's definitely frustrating. I just remember that we can only trade on the weekends. You're one of the few people in Japan on here. Most people are either USA or EUR.

Either way, it's frustrating when people can't respect your time, which I think is what we're getting at. I can't be on all day, and even if I could, I wouldn't want to be available to trade. Sitting around and waiting for people takes away from me playing what I want to play or reading my 3 stacks of books in my to-read section of my 4 bookcases.

He managed a phenomenal accomplishment... but still, I don't want to use my precious time for that stuff.
Work definitely tires me out. Or when I'm on PC or Serebii and they're like, "why can't you trade now?" "I'm at work using a VPN to access this site; I am away from my 3DS and from home." Or when I can only trade on specific nights because I actually hang out with friends after work or something.
