This is a fast reply but I'm awake for no reason, so...

I can certainly understand weaknesses. I've developed so many bad habits. I became so paranoid about blundering or hanging pieces that I'll stuff everything into a corner. I don't remember the last time I've checkmated someone (besides my uncle once on the actual board).

Also looking at analysis too much isn't a good thing. Sometimes I'm like "okay this looks like a move the computer would approve of" and I'm not thinking for myself.

Then there's me not paying attention to the game, tabbing out and doing other things. This is probably why I played so much stronger on a board. All my focus was on what was happening (despite my constant chatter).

That makes me wonder why we don't just use bots to massively improve. Set it to 3000 ELO, get beaten into another planet, but you would learn right?

Do you value bishops or knights more? For my skill level right now, I like knights more. I can never seem to coordinate my bishops as much.

Yeah he played in a club when he was younger. The first game he was clearly not being serious. He tossed his queen out early. I trapped it, what proceeded was a slow hour long game of me sapping away every piece.

We ate dinner, he went for a smoke break. Came back and he absolutely destroyed me in about 10 turns. It wasn't pretty. He outplayed me on every move.

The 3rd game was another long one. Eventually I was about to promote to a queen, and he forfeited.

It was so much fun though.

Hopefully the chess match will continue. I have fatigue from being on a train for hours.

I played over the board chess for the first time with my uncle. I won two games, he won once. It was such a cool experience. He's a strong player, but way different than what I learned online. He doesn't like to castle, and likes getting early checkmate.

Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. So you create audio books, is that narration? That sounds nice and I've never heard of anyone doing that as a job. Do you prefer it to freelancing? I don't know anything about freelancing either but I presume it has something to do with writing.

YouTube has evolved as a product. In a self aware sort of way. People clown on those stock music videos with the heavy font from the late 2000's.

I hope it works out. How does it effect the work schedule? I remember you mentioning you worked from home. That might have just been a pandemic thing. Or I might be mixing you up for someone else. Sometimes with multiple conversations I mix things up, but I try my best.

Yeah if I were a YouTuber I wouldn't do an intro. I don't like when they plug social media or tell me to subscribe. If I enjoyed enough, I'll do these things naturally without a reminder. It's also more genuine if these are done without a forced reminder, you know?

How long do you think it will be until things return to normal? I have heard of how devastating it was. I'm unfamiliar with how Typhoons work, but I assume it's the same as a hurricane? In different parts of the world I think they use different names for it.

I was lame and didn't order anything mexican related. I had a burger/fry combo. We will be returning out to do whatever activities we find. The christmas atmosphere is also really pleasant.

How does the internet time work? You mentioned your aunt owns a restaurant in a post, but is someone watching usage?

I went to a pub tonight with my sister and her friends. We just wanted food. It was so crowded we couldn't even walk. We ditched it and found a very quiet mexican restaurant.

I'll be exchanging gifts too. I'm bad at wrapping gifts though.
