in terms of sylveon, it really does not take too long to max out eevee's affection i did it in about 20 minutes, which to me is tons quicker than it is to max out happiness for espeon/umbreon. any time of day will do to get sylveon as long as affection is maxed and it has a fairy type move. i...

for sylveon i read somewhere that alternating between the touching, feeding, and ultimate version of head it gets the affection to max pretty quick i did it in like 20 minutes for my eevee my lucario and my gardevoir.

so it took a lot of muffins, but a fat, happy eevee and a team flair member later, sylveon level 20 kirlia level 29 pancham level 28 braixen at 35 wartortle at 31 don't have a final team member yet, but im using a furret at 27 for HMs. just beat 2nd gym and fought lucario

i found one of them on route 6 with honedge
