Welcome to my life haha. Sure, but most of the time it's not for free. Ash Hat Pikachu is on the movie tickets just like Volcanion was. Marshadow and these new events you have to go to the place (and with the Charizard and whatever you can't even get all of them at the same time, you have to go multiple days). It's all purchase (or at the very least travel) necessary. Such is the price we pay for exclusivity.

Frankly I don't care. It's a huge pain for me because it means I have to get it, since I'm the only one who can apparently. These also happen during my busiest time of the year so I might miss them, which is even more frustrating. Tbh wish Japan would stop making so many goddamn events.

No no, NONE of the Z-Crystals can be traded. I read they might appear to be traded, but this only happens if both the traders has the Z-Crystal already. (I'm guessing that, for example, if I traded you Kommo-o holding Dragonium-Z, it would probably still be "holding" it because anyone who's beaten the game has that crystal, but if I traded it to someone who just started the game it wouldn't be since there's no way they'd have it.)
I did hear about it! I'm excited to see what it'll be. It's still over a year away so that's a lot of time to think. I've heard the Switch is really cool but there's nothing I want to play on it right now. Well, the Switch is sold out everywhere so it makes sense that it's expensive. None of the stores in my city have it, except for the used stores which are selling them at a higher price since they're rare. @@ You mentioned everything is a LOT more expensive there though, so probably even the higher prices here are not as bad as they are for you.

Nope. Z Cyrstals are automatically taken off the Pokemon when they are traded away, so Z Crystals cannot be traded. At this point, Pikashunium Z is still Japan only and Marshadium Z likely will be for some time as well. They'll come to other countries eventually, probably obtainable for free over WiFi/via code as usual. / angry grumbling

Oh yeah I forgot about those! Unfortunately I've fallen behind on getting them because my friends are all forgetful and did things wrong, so I missed the Sinnoh hat Pikachu...If I can't find one with proof, I'll redeem it myself on the second distribution.

OHH that would explain why you have so much time! I'm a teacher and I work 8-5 most days so I don't have nearly enough time for hunts...I'm a little jealous haha.

I see! I was mostly thinking of it because it said the number of eggs until a Shiny was set when the parents are put in (I think?) and I was wondering if you were changing that around. It could explain why the hunt seems endless, because the number until the Shiny keeps changing. But I don't really know how it works. @@ That's not many! It's certainly less than what I need for Shiny LivingDex, though I'm getting the rest of them in a trade soon. Let's both hang in there! @@

That's strange, I wonder why? I had the same problem with DexNav hunting in AS though. When I had the flu, I hunted Shinies and I found at least 2 every day. Recently however, it took me over 200 encounters to get Cherrim, and I am at 400 encounters with Slakoth and no luck yet...Maybe our luck has run out. @@
