Never heard of this 'til I saw this topic. Now I'm interested. I've had an idea for a book for sometime but never got around to actually writing. Now I feel like I should.

I'm pretty sure it's just because the game is programmed to allow NPCs to have legendaries to ramp the difficulty up if you're just breezing through whatever you may be doing. I think it's safe to say that that part of the game isn't really canonicle with the universe with a few exceptions...

I'd choose to live in Goldenrod City. Large enough to never get bred, yet smaller than some of the others to not feel overwhelmed. It just seems like a nice place to live. I can't explain very well.
I constantly grind against the Elite Four. An EXP share tends to help bring a low level up to speed (especially in B/W where exp is proportional to level)
I buy remakes ports if the game meets one of my following criteria:
-It is an enhanced remake, where new features and content and possibly a graphical update are added on top of the original (Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together)
-The original game has a large sentimental value to me (Pokemon...
