Yeah, the Qur'an is where it's all at.

As for my favourite part: its sciences of the Qur'an ('Uloom al Qur'aan) and the Seerat of Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him). And my personal opinion is this. Simultaneously the most beautiful, AND the most interesting part, AND consequently the most eeman-boosting faction of Islaamic studies is the biography of this Blessed man, may peace and blessings be upon him.

I have not read much about it though, I have a read a general seerah book (not for study purposes, as a storybook rather) and a specialized work which focused only on his war expeditions. This not only convinced me the practicality of the Islaamic Sharee'ah and the merciful nature of the Prophet of Allah (may peace and Blessings be upon him), but I had the chance to explore a whole other side of the seerah which is not talked about that much.

I mean like we all talk about how his (may peace and blessings be upon him) character was so perfect, how he was the msot merciful to mankind, how he was the best husband and father and leader and all that, but what is a tad bit ignored is what a GENIUS he was, and what a talented brain Allah had blessed him with, may peace and blessings be upon him. And you get to learn more about it once you read about the state policies he(may peace and blessings be upon him) introduced back then, like diplomatic relations between different people, expeditions, and so on. Especially when you read about the Treaty of Hudaybiya and what happened before and after it, and the conquest of Makkah.

What do you think about the Seerah and what parts of it do you like then?
