  • Not much, just waiting to see if Winter actually starts doing anything or just keeps talking. :P
Well, I reckon the next beta could be a small little bitty with the Celestial Islands and the University. Seeing as there's still stuff left to do in the west peninsula, then the whole islands deal, then the university, then you sail to the east.
Okay, I want it on record that out of like 230 or so pages of VMs that I have, you take up about 120 of 'em. OVER HALF.
I have one drawn out by hand, but I'd like some sort of nice graphic of it for the thread. As you know, there is no flying in the game, I opted for a more realistic carriage system that we'd have to implement. But, it'd still be nice to have some sort of visual of the country, y'know?

I, for the most part, have the entire rest of Summer planned out, aside from details, which can be written in as we go along.

So, with that in mind, do you reckon we should release another beta, or is there a reason to finish the whole thing before we bother releasing anything next?
Nah, not at all. I reckon I'll have Ole' Stud pop up in various spots just doing insane crap until the player has had enough and is convinced that there just must be two of 'em. Sort of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde kinda deal.

I'm still not entirely sure what function I want the Isla de Tristeza to perform. I know for sure I want the player to revisit Lake Mark, have some nonsense go on in the cave, sail to the Island of the Sun, go through the bit of quest for the Sun Stone, be directed towards the University, which is completely optional, go to the Island of the Moon, hit the eastern peninsula, have stupidity flow throughout, direct the player south to the Isla de Tristeza, have an optional storyline that delves a little deeper into lore, head back north, then go through a few cities with the back and forth tracking, then we're in the wilderness, then finale. Then it's time for Autumn.
Hell, we could actually do both. But, as I was making the university, I thought it'd be funny for the player to encounter Stud, but he be this super dignified professor that everyone adores, and you're the one that looks insane by accusing him of nonsense and trying to uncover him. Then finding him again in Tristeza being mental.

The Isla de Tristeza is a small island that serves as a sort of military graveyard. Sort of like the Arlington Cemetery. At least, that's what I'm thinking so far. May be subject to change. Might make it Leola's resting place, since I want to start incorporating that little portion of story around it. I have plans for Lake Mark and whatnot.
Sorry. I suck at replying D:
I've been watching a lot of Youtube too. I'm also working on a hack with another person. Planning to post a thread eventually!
