  • Oh, yes! In the Wisconsin Dells, there are several big spook houses. I went to this one at a small park as a kid that really had me scared, but I hear that one really terrifying spook house was Tommy Bartlett's Exploratorium. It's supposed to be an educational science experience, but also adds a lot of creepy animatronics along with a typical "mad science" setting to make it into a truly terrifying exhibition. I haven't been to it myself, but my relatives tell me it was spooky. Also, there's another local one called "Nightmare" that pops up once a year around Halloween. It's supposed to promote drug abuse awareness, while also giving people a real fright. I went to it once and scared half to death.
When I say funny, I mean the bad graphics and badly faked security cam footage was what made me laugh. Otherwise, the jump scares and psychological terror was really terrifying. I mean, you read the prologue to Biohazard, right (or was that before I changed it to Doxisite's perspective rather than Alakazam's)? I use a lot of psychological mechanisms in the current draft, and later on in Chapter Seven when Doxisite attacks Pokémon Square.
Well, I watched the first three nights on one guy's Youtube and it really didn't seem as much scary as it is weird. But then, I was watching via phone and, though the screen has good resolution, it's still small. I thought it was more weird than scary, at least up to night 4 (wherein the animatronics were getting faster in their pursuit) and, at one point where the player was switching from the security cams to regular view, the main antagonist Freddy appeared right in front of his face and killed him. Up to that point, I thought it was funny.
Busy. I've been working on some major jobs this week, so I'm pretty exhausted. Also, I kind of scared the living crap out of myself by watching footage from a horror game that I recently heard about (apparently it's all the rage on Furaffinity, so out of curiosity, I watched a few short clips and almost peed my pants)! It's called Five Nights at Freddy's. Whatever you do, don't look it up on Youtube! You'll regret it!
The 3DS is basically solid, but the seam is across the hinge part for the upper screen. However, it seems pretty tight together and I extremely doubt it would break apart like the DS Lites I've had.
I have not had that happen, ever. Nintendo's systems have always been made to take a lot of abuse, and I mean A LOT! The only problem I ever had with any DS system was the DS Lite's right hinge breaking on me. My first DS Lite did it, so did my second one, and my third one was about to. However, a little super glue fixed it on all of them. I have not had happen to my 3DS, and I don't expect it to. The DS Lite and DSi were made from really weak plastic, as opposed to a thicker plastic used to case their other systems. Also, the 3DS is have doesn't have the pointless slit on the hinge that my DS Lite had. I know that was part of what compromised the structural integrity of the DS Lite. I'm not sure if that's where the seam was, or it was just bad designing of the casing/mold... >.>
You've seen my hand drawings, right? My hands are honed to press hard into things so I can cut them with my carpet knife. In the same way, I have heavy strokes with my pens and pencils, as well as the DS stylus. Well, I lighten my press when using the stylus, but I've developed some bad habits that I use all the time. Really, I've never been too concerned about scuffing up the touch screen because, despite what the manuals warn about, the touch screen is still going to work no matter what. It's just unavoidable because touching a touch screen repeatedly is going to scratch it eventually.
"Broken" usually means there's some sort of gameplay flaw that makes it too easy or too hard for the player to progress in the game (at least the times I've heard it used). Perhaps I'm mistaken in my term use. But, I do recall that Phantom Hourglass was hard to play at times because of the issue that bosses moved too quick and didn't give you that small opportunity to attack like the majority of Zelda games do. I guess, to an extent, one could argue it's a good thing because it puts forth a challenge, but to me, it seemed like it made the game too hard to keep up with at certain points. I remember one boss required you to watch the top screen to see where it was attacking from. It /was/ innovative, but at the same time, it was an unnecessary distraction when the thing was moving around the room really fast and then suddenly honed in on you. Also, I kind of didn't like having to swipe the screen hard just to swing the sword. I mean, Pokémon Ranger was easily the best game to destroy your DS touch screen with, but this one was almost as good for that because you had to swipe hard or would just walk into an enemy when you wanted him to attack. No other Zelda games (except Spirit Tracks)) have that problem, and that's a pretty big one in terms of gameplay.
Oh, don't get me wrong: Phantom Hourglass was okay, but it was horribly broken compared to other Zelda games. Spirit Tracks had more story to it, and it was a little less broken because the enemies actually gave you a chance to hit them before attacking. That's one of the few things I actually HATED about PH. Most bosses were way too fast.
Twilight Princess easily followed up by A Link to the Past, The Wind Waker, and Skyward Sword. I loved Ocarina of Time too, but it's far from a favorite. The 3DS version was actually very disorienting (I never played the N64 one). There really aren't any that I've truly hated, but I do have some slight ire towards Phantom Hourglass because the touch-screen mechanics made the gameplay feel very broken (same in Spirit Tracks too, but I actually enjoyed that one a lot more because it was easier to manage things because stuff didn't seem so timed).
First time through, I didn't know I could shoplift, but yeah, the bow was the most expensive and most versatile item in the game, so there was no way I was waiting just to get it this time. Um, if you have any spare cash and a credit/debit card, I would suggest downloading the VC version. It's only a few bucks and plays just like a regular GB game, save for some slight modifications to make use of all the primary buttons (Well, Y = Select, anyways). In either case, it's not my favorite Zelda game, but was fun nonetheless being able to exploit all the old stuff I knew from A Link to the Past, since the games were made so similarly.
There are action and resting episodes. Mostly it falls under fantasy, but there are some really intense parts in it (intense to the extent of which a TV-Y rating will allow). Otherwise, there's more drama than anything else. Sometimes there's comedy.

Oh, god, that was HILARIOUS! Remember, I'm just playing the VC version and the Director's Cut at that. I have no idea if there were really any differences between that and the original GB version, but I did look a few things up and they work all the same. I personally didn't mind being called THIEF for the rest of the game. I remember something similar to that in ALttP, but I can't remember what exactly.
Oh, then I can brainwash you? JK.

Well, I've actually been falling out of it a little bit lately. Season 4 kind of sucked after the Princess Twilight arc, though I did enjoy the episode where "Weird Al" Yankovich guest starred as a new character named Cheese Sandwich. The series was pretty good until it became stereotypically girly again (I mean, it's girly to begin with, but for the most part, there were a lot of active episodes throughout seasons One through Three). I was actually a fan of episode where the characters actually went on adventures and solved problems rather than being so bland about finding out more about themselves.

Mmm, different topic perhaps? I did a 100% completion of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX. It only took a few days, but I managed to do everything in the game (save perhaps for taking a few in-game photos that you can only do under certain circumstances...at least one has to be skipped because it's one of the first two you can take, and if you do one you can't do the other).
    Yep.

Well, I'll change topics now. You know about the My Little Pony thing that's been going on for a few years now, right? Do you, per chance, watch the new show, or are you one of those guys who absolutely despises it and the obsessiveness of the fans? I'm actually very fond of it myself, but I'm not as devoted to it as I am Pokémon. I have a few things in terms of merch, but it's not like I'm completely decking out my room in MLP stuff.

I kind of understand that. Most of the time I just idle. When someone wants to chat, we do. Otherwise, I could probably do to say off it a bit. But then, my relatives occasionally ask me stuff on it, so I can't exactly stay off it completely...or maybe I can... Not sure...
    Shoot! Yeah, it was.

Well, I use FB a lot, but mostly to keep in touch with people I know. Well...PrettySylveon friended me on from PokeBeach, and so have a few others. I use it for chat mostly, aside from just seeing how people are doing.
Ah, okay. Well, I'm not pushing for you to give me it. I mean, it is just FB... >.>

Skymin! Ooh, that's one that I don't have, and I actually have Land Shaymin. I was tempted to spring for a better quality one, but it's not that big of deal.
