Unsatisfying endings are, of course, when the story ends, and you're left to go "What about the thing!?"

I shouted that out loud after I read it. It was awesome.

Lol yeah discrepancy with the name XD

    LOOK WHAT DISNEY HAS DONE TO US!!! ;_;

    Old Yeller. Enough said.

And lol at Bob getting capped.

Reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Goofy gets stuck into an incinerator and says "Well, it beats working for Disney". XD

lol I can't recall that episode XD

Anyway, I feel bored, I *might* go back to my fic tonight, and if not, then over the next 4 days.

The stupid dog near my window, in the neighbors yard is whining a bit (probably because it dislikes being caged in)... It's near my window because my room is next to a zero lot line, which means our house is right along the fence line.

EDIT: Here's a question though, should I have Jesse, James and Meowth in my fic? It is gonna have Ash and co too. If anything, consider that my fic would be similar to a Pokemon movie.

Inject a steak with rat poison and toss it over. :D

Or go play with it, if you're not antisocial. The dog I mean, not the poisoned steak.

If they fit, go for it. Of course, considering you've got Ash and company, you'd probably have to put more effort in explaining why Jessie, James, and Meowth wouldn't be there.

If comic relief villains fit with what you're going for, sure. Otherwise, I don't think so.

I'd probably say they're off being lazy or on vacation or something or lost XD

My main problem however, if I choose to include them, is how I should make Meowth talk.

My main problem however, if I choose to include them, is how I should make Meowth talk.

There's three two ways to go about doing this:

    1. Mention that he has an accent but don't render it in dialogue. Because people know how Meowth talks, they can pretty much imagine it themselves if you just make a note of it. This is the ideal solution because it lets the reader envision the character's voice for themselves. Or, rather, it keeps your dialogue from becoming unreadable and frustrating.

    2. Study how he speaks and try to render it in dialogue anyway. For example, Meowth says "dis" instead of "this." He also chops off the G in any verb that ends with "ing." This is an okay solution because it guides the reader in visualizing how things are being said, but on the other hand, going overboard could leave the reader unable to decipher what it is the character is trying to say. Some fanfics do this, however, most notably in the universe of Pokémon Rebirth.

    3. Do what I do and forget to mention accents altogether to see if anyone cares. XD

ahhh being ninja'd for once. I think Asti's solution is a little strange, I think I won't do that XD

I'll probably go with solution 2 of Val's and rewatch a whole bunch of episodes. Though I don't imagine them talking much, just probably a few lines.

Sudden activity is sudden. And I just realized that I forgot to answer this.

At what point do you give your chapters a title? How do you usually choose a title?

I usually give my chapters a title when I hit a part where I go "hey, the chapter should be named after this segment!" Otherwise, I just slap one on at the end.

Okay cause I feel like it:

After reading/watching a recent movie/book/T.V. programme do you find yourself trying to include some ideas of it in a fic on purpose or subconiously?

There are a few books and movies that I do take from subconsciously, but not with most, no.

Fair 'nough. Just remember that the most important thing is that the reader should be able to understand what's being said. (Here's where a beta's nice.) In other words, you can render it if you think you've got an idea of how it works, but don't go overboard.

Yes, absolutely. Existing media is a great source of inspiration.

Yeah I might have them have a brief cameo.

Another question though, the following pokemon can learn aura sphere:

    Mewtwo
    Mew
    Lucario
    Togekiss
    Dialga
    Palkia
    Giratina

Now my question is, there have been three aura users we know of (at least I think so), which is Riley and his Lucario, the guy in the past with his Lucario (forget his name) and the traveller with a Pikachu. Now I assume the Pikachu can't learn aura sphere, so can that leave me the room for a character to have a regular pokemon, but still be a user of aura?

EDIT: I mean, I don't assume all aura users to have a Lucario, after all.

All the time. Terry Brooks' work inspired the Eon Chronicles, and I have some elements of his Voyage of the Jerle Shannara series in that story. Otherwise, I often pull small things from various sources, rework or completely change them, and put them into my writing. I don't exactly copy...it's more like I'll read or see something and it will spark off my imagination, and I'll turn it into something pretty different. I think that makes sense.

By the by, any song with the lyrics "I want to get on with getting on with things" must be listened to.

EDIT: As must any song called "Canvas."

EDIT EDIT: I'm cool with anyone having aura. It seems to be a developed ability.
