And yes, a name change is preferable to a leave of absence, definitely. *Topic necromancy* If that was the decision, I'm happy with your choice. Hurr...don't be surprised if I call you 'Al' one of these days, though; it's a very manly nickname and I keep thinking of it when I look at your username. 8D And yeah...the appellations do have that appeal to them (I sort of have a smaller version that works on what bastardization of my name people use), though we actually met a fair bit prior to your Loki era so I defy your categorization! >O Loki just seems like a nice, short name so it stuck with me.

As for that username change thing...I considered it, but then I reached the conclusion that I don't want to repeat a performance. Besides, part of the idea behind it was following up on that message David put in his signature, so part of the original spirit would kind of be lost in the adaption.

Anyways, congratulations again. And don't think you've heard the end of it from me yet; I won't let you forget about this promotion for a while. ;D
