We have stuff in common. We must assimilate chat :D Big Yui fan btw ;D Not so much of Mars though, but eh... Minerva is too epic @-@ SHIELD BLOCK FTW, right?
Oh, I see what you mean. If closing is really what drove everyone away, it seems like that could've been a huge blow to the section. I dunno, I still feel like at least a little buzz going around has to be better than everyone leaving. :/ Also, Jax (or I guess JX_Valentine, since I don't really know her that well) has a forum?

Lately I've had a hankering for more long-winded titles but I can never think of anything clever enough to justify it. XD Thank you for your politeness. *bows*

I know exactly what you mean. It seems like the last page is written in like thirty minutes while the rest takes days. That's typically the reason my endings are without description and full of typos. >.< It's too exciting.

Oh yeah, I mean, if it's actually relevant and helpful then by all means, advertise. I'm just talking about people who cap off their posts with "Be sure to check out my story it's awesome ;D". For some reason that frustrates me greatly. >:/

I just saw your post in Serebii's battle thread and that was a looooong one. Like JX length. XD Nice. I find it so odd that I have awards so often. It seems like it would take away the novelty. Congratulations, though! :D Also, I thought the interview thing was a cool idea. I'd suggest it for Serebii but all the ideas in the planning thread have pretty much been shot down and I have no justification other than "It sounded neat." Also, I doubt anyone would be willing to do it.
Yeah, I guess that would be a problem. Still, any activity is good activity right? And it seems that everyone was in that thread, so a clique consisting of the entire writing community would actually be cool.

Devastated could've been one of Broken's working titles. XD I always try to avoid one word titles but I end up using them anyway since it always seems like I eventually find the perfect word and then can't add anything onto it to make it less plain.

I can't believe it's been hiding from me for so long since it basically describes the majority of what I write. I didn't know what (b")b was at first but when I finally understood I was just like OH MY GOD THAT'S AMAZING. Also... what's "aaa"? /dumb

Haha have you found the perfect time? I usually post my one-shots at night so maybe I can wake up to a review or something to brighten my morning. *shrugs* Random, but I've always liked your banner. When I first saw it, I though "I like that idea" and then wanted to steal the idea. Aaanyway, I wish I was as active as that. I usually just toss out a one-shot and hope someone takes a look. Also, if I ever post a review or in the Author's Cafe, I try to make my post look extra long so people will think "That ):;Imaginative?>?Clockwork*&^ guy knows what he's doing!" XP Maybe when I get a chaptered fic going I'll start the heavy advertising.

(Also, please don't ever be one of those people who posts something that includes some obnoxious form of "Take a look at MY fic". -_-; At least be subtle or have it pertain to the discussion.)
Right now I have zero cred points based on join date. >:( Good Lord, that's a monster of a thread. They need to restart that. It's kind of funny/sad to see basically the same problems with the forum being discussed then and now. It's also odd that the kind of slow fanfic forum here gave birth to a 600 page thread. More of that "community" stuff, I suppose.

I like the name. :) Titles are usually the bane of my writing experience since I can never think of anything snappy. I hope I can look back on it like a year from now and find some rough idea that I can polish into my own "Broken" but some of the ideas I have saved are just bad. There was one where some kid was watching airplanes and looking across the ocean at Mossdeep City (it was set in the past and the island was just being colonized or something) and he called it "Heaven" because it was like a neverending camping trip. I remember I was pulling so hard to set up a "fly to Heaven" thing at the end and then finally looking at it like ".... wtf am i doing...?" and tossed it. God, it was so awful. :P Some things are better left unwritten.

*headdesk* I CAN'T THINK OF A SOLUTION. I'm so upset right now. On the plus side, you just introduced "headcanon" into my vocabulary. And (b")b.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with her. It's just that "We were mentioned in the hate thread" is such a hilariously depressing statement. XD But yeah, I mean, I wrote Fad thinking it would probably attract some nostalgic readers but I really just expected it to disappear after a couple of "Aw, that's sad" replies. When it took off, it started to get really frustrating that there were so few actual reviews. It got to the point where people wouldn't even mention the story itself in their reply and would just dive into their own memories. :/ But oh well. I guess it got my name out there.
I think as long as you're semi-active and don't suck at whatever you do people start lumping you in the "veteran" category soon enough. Was that a thread here? That sounds like an interesting hang-out spot, especially if it was as active as you make it sound.

What a giant tease. I guess your successful chapter fic is a little more important than a random one-shot. It was probably wasn't meant to be. :( I have a ton of almost-or-partially-completed one-shots saved on my computer that I suddenly decided I hated in the middle of writing them. XD

I would seriously love it so much if they made RS remakes that had some huge added subplot explaining Wally's evolution to Wallace (which I will now treat as fact and not just a fan theory). I'm just gonna go with the idea that he somehow fused with his Gardevoir, becoming the flamboyant man we see at the end of the game. It just has to be true.

On a side note, I just saw that we were mentioned in the "Things you hate in fanfiction" thread. *sad high five*
The secrecy-wink combo just makes it all the more painful to know I'm not allowed to see. If only I wasn't so cheap...

The problem is that those authors (how long have you been on the forums? Those are all like the ancient legendary members XD ) usually don't give a lot of reasons to tear their stories down. And I'm also afraid of reviewing the first chapter of a really bad fic in a moment of generosity and then getting pressured to sticking with the whole thing even if I don't enjoy it at all. :/ I hardly ever review since it's usually more time-consuming than writing another one-shot. I have to go through this annoying process of organizing and re-reading and then they're usually only like half a page. The thing is, I actually like reviewing but the time it takes usually scares me off. I feel like I only write depressing one-shots too. My attempt at a "positive" one was a teenage girl choosing not to commit suicide but everything up until that point was bleak, bleak stuff.

Don't feel pressured to do that just because of me. And you never posted it! D:< Lies!

I did like finding him hidden away in that cave. I would have preferred a completely new Champion, though, or maybe your rival just for kicks. I just don't get why they picked Wallace. He's so forgettable no matter what position he's in. Why not Wally? Unless Wallace=time warp Wally. :O I've figured it out.
    I am dead! Oh noes.

Well the serious answer is that I am just not here anymore I guess! Except for how I sometimes randomly click my bookmarks for here, Serebii, and the BBS for no real reason. I do still idle on the BBS chat also for no real reason though! I guess the community I'm most active in now is WORK! :O Also PMD-Explorers (a group on DA), namely their IRC channel.
I'm sure they're all secretly members of a genius cult speaking to each other in code but until I begin an investigation I just like to be annoyed. It's a blast.

*falls on knees* I need to be a part of this VIP forum. I honestly can't imagine what you could talk about that it would need a private forum (unless you're member-bashing or something...).

I almost hate giving reviews because I'm so much better at picking out the bad when I read and I don't want my review to be a mountain of cruel. I have to admit, I love a good journey and good English is just dandy. I would promise to review it but I'm horrible at keeping promises. I will make an attempt though! And maybe someday my hesitantly negative reviews will grace your thread! That's still quite a few, though, seeing as it usually seems to be just a few regular reviewers and then a few random "I've been reading! It's great!" guys who never review again for any longer fic. Haha it's no problem.

D: Those poor people waiting for Cynthia's next move...

Just like Juan. -_- I'll never understand why they replaced Wallace with a less interesting version of himself.
Just to let you know, I'll get to Moonlight Heartbreak after I get done judging the SWC entries. Or when I feel like I need a break from judging. Whichever comes first. :P And yeah, I still owe you reviews for Champion Game, LOL.
Darn, but it's still good to hear you've at least gotten work done. I need to catch up big time.

But an aspect I think makes this concept of Pokemon acting on their own under the rule of inexperienced trainers is the creatures own instincts, like in tight spots where it can't wait for a command.

Since you gave me that little spoiler, I'll give you a few.
    Spoiler:
lol, yeah. I need to get back to releasin' chapters, and writing haha. I haven't written anything in like, three days. Been partyin', lol :P

To be honest, I've been doing something a little similar. It's not exactly like your concept, there is still trainer dialogue seeing as my main one is a beginner, but there are moments where the Pokemon act completely on their own.

I really only like to use Pokemon League rules in gym battles. But you did just spark an idea in my head of how to handle Team Rocket when I introduce them.

Damn, that's a lot of words, haha. I like you writing style, it's very original.
What I don't understand is why people create an already unique username and then add 457834589345 to the end. It makes me dislike them instantly. >:( Just tell them it's your brother or something. Who also writes fanfiction. In the exact same style as you.

Ooh, VIP forums. Sounds exciting. ;D When I first found PC, I was used to Serebii so I was looking for it's main news site (Like Serebii.net to serebiiforums.com) and when I couldn't find one, I just didn't know the forums got so big. Guess they're just a cool place to be around.

Before I made this account, I was still around Serebii so yeah, I saw a lot of her reviews and stuff. She seemed to gravitate toward the lesser-quality fics so she would be able to make an entire review out of negative comments. :( And yeah, it's just so clunky and only a couple of the themes don't give you a massive headache after a few minutes. Which is why I only use the default.

Haha it wasn't that bad! But I could definitely see a huge improvement from that one compared to your more recent ones that I've read. Whatever happened to that sequel you promised everyone? xP

Except Wallace, right? He's pretty boring.
The lyrics were simple, catchy, and worked. I did a speedrun of Pokemon Red, so I heard a lot of Bike theme, and I will be honest, I was singing your lines the whole time ;$
Both of those reasons stand the test of time so well. It's almost a shame you changed it now that I think about it. XD

    People must be donating all the time 'cause I see those blue italicized names all over the place. I have to wonder what the many levels of authority are for though. Another difference: I can't imagine anybody ever donating to Sppf. ^^;

It's just not a good place to get to know people, really. Most of the people who become friends there have a mutual love of sarcasm and cynicism which are both awesome but not when all the well known are all like that and chase off newbies. Also, I wish someone would update the layout. :/ It's from like 2006. There's a lot to complain about when it comes to Sppf. ;)

I moved 'em all to the complete section at the same time. And Fad's got far too many reviews as it is (I don't want to sound ungrateful, though. I mean, I think it's seriously awesome that so many people enjoyed it and took the time to say so.). Ha, that was a nice read. Kind of a bleakness in the middle of the jolly little park. WHY AREN'T YOU LINKING TO THAT IN YOUR SIG?
