Haha, yes. I was specifically breeding for a male shiny Shelmet (because I am completely OCD for my pokes to be male) with flawless IVs in at least HP, Special Attack, and Speed to stay competitive. Unfortunately for me, the first Shelmet was male, but had terrible SpA IVs; the next 4 Shelmets, in a row, were females which caused me to lose my sanity a bit -_-; the next one was male, but had terrible Speed IVs; and finally after a course of a week there was light at the end of the tunnel. My 7th Shelmet was not only male, but it had 5x flawless IVs and all in the right places (31/x/31/31/31/31).
I definitely had to take a break from shiny hunting after that lol, but I'm really glad I stuck through it and it paid off in the end. :P
